One of my two caveats regarding the Toyobaru... the lack of back seat space, not so bad as it looks if the driver or passenger is not pushing six feet tall (the guy is six feet tall) :

As hard as I try, I simply can't like the new 981 Boxster's back end since day one...
So, for those of you who might have issues with the Toyobaru's back end, please think twice... |

Haha, I like the Subie, but the 981 is in a completely different styling category. Even the ugliest Ferrari since the Mondial, the California, is a tough comparison. Face it, the Japanese suffer when designing good looking cars. The FD RX7 and first Lexus SC400 being notable exceptions.

Haha, yes, I actually like the 981 back, the front is a little too much like the last MR2, or MR-S or whatever Toyota's dumb name was. The Toyabaru is just boring, in the same vein as a 5/8th scale Genesis Coupe.

What's sad is that I think Toyabaru really missed an opportunity here. It's not much better looking than the supremely awkward California. It really could/should have been much better looking. Don't get me wrong, if they make an STi version, I'm buying one, but it's still a bucket full of bland.

Hummm... let me see... so why do these guys do the same irrelevant things year after year, say like finding the best driver's car or finding what is more important between balance and speed?!
What is relevant to you then about cars... I mean, if you would have to choose between balance and speed?! These are precisely the kind of questions I put to myself as an 1M owner who happens to absolutely love the concept of both the Bimmer and the Toyobaru... What is the most FUN?! |

Maybe, but at 160rwph, having owned an s2000 and an STI, Its just ZZZZZzzzz to me. I'm sure it's fun, but so is an elise, I just find the hype to be overblown. But I remember the same thing with the 1M, now it's crickets about the 1M.
