ya Cerrone is gonna be a really tough match up for Vagner. He has great BJJ but his stand up is suspect, while Cerrone has great stand up and some one the best reach in 155 and he is also no slouch on the ground
im hoping for a good fight, so he gets another chance if he looses |

Still, I don't see Diaz taking out GSP. But crazier things have happened...

Anyway, yea looking forward to the fight. I hope they both do well but if I were betting, it would be on JDS. Both great fighters though.

so Diaz is gonna vacate the SF tittle, so no real unification match, didnt think it would go this way but it makes better sense from a business point of view

It doesn't really matter, the guys that follow the sport will know the winner of this fight basically holds the unified title. it'll be a great fight nonetheless.

God damn, look at Carwin's face >_>...... JDS is back as the #1 contender. Boy's so ready for Cain. I can't wait for that fight!
Junior Must have thought, "Herb, if he dies, it isn't my fault. Stop it yes?" Sam's KO was so sweet, it looked perfect and it's always freaky watching the guy that got ko'ed with his eyes full up with leg twitching! Last edited by Garduna; 06-12-2011 at 03:00 PM.. |

I knew JDS was the favourite but he completely Carwin. I always saw Velasquez, JDS, Carwin and Lesnar as the top of the heat in the HW division but JDS made Carwin look inferior as did Velasquez to Lesnar. I think Carwin would be regretting his game-plan, I wish I saw him just go for it from the get go. Not sure if the outcome would have been different. I only recall JDS getting tagged cleanly once and that was when he was stepping backwards.
I was also really impressed with Florian. I thought the weight cut was going to hold him back but he looked great in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. He's going to be a real force at 145. The Munoz v Damien fight was really close too. I think Damien's stand-up has improved a lot, it must be that training coach he and JDS use. |

Lots of entertaining fights. JDS is a beast but so fast at the same time. Perfect match for Cain, That's gonna be epic. KenFlo looked great at 146, would be interesting fight against Aldo but kinda crazy he cut from almost 180, I was surprised he didn't gas but he looked like he had more in him I was glad to see Maia improve his stand up, thought he would win at one point but Munoz is a beast |

With the merger I'm looking forward to Roger Gracie getting lined up against some of the higher level fighters in the UFC.

prob one of the best night of free fights if not one of the best events period last night, holy shit. I couldnt fall asleep for over an hour after all the fights
I was really disappointed the Olivera vs Lentz fight ended the way it did, what a fight. Hopefully we see a rematch soon. Charles was just a second too early w/ that knee, where the hell was the ref Then good ole meat head w/ a walkoff KO, was just nasty. So was Joe Lauzon kimura, buddy shoulder has to be done for. And we all knew Kongo vs Barry was gonna be insane but I dont think anyone expected that, holy shit. I was about to scream for the ref to stop it, it seemed like Kongo was out on his feet but then landed that uppercut and it was all over, amazing finish One thing that really pissed me off, was that one ref. There was one point when Rick Story was on his back going for a kimura and this dumbass kept telling them to work, HE"S GOING FOR A FUCKING KIMURA YOU MORON!!!!!! then stood them up, I couldnt believe it, he should never be allowed to ref ever again |

Agreed, great night of free fights!
LOVED how Mitrione just 1-2'ed him and then walked away instantly. I woke up my wife AND my dog when Kongo KO'ed Barry because I screamed "holy sh!t" so loud. |
