Did steaks, fries & shrimp in black garlic, as our plans for NYE changed at the last minute. Then cheese & biscuits a bit later.

Sure enough, 2 last minute cancelations. Okay though, so no need to extend the table for 10 and I'll have some leftovers.

Decided to toss in a last minute Caprese salad with a reduced balsamic and some Red Lobster style biscuits.

Remaining items are the spinach, how the potatoes came out, the brussels sprouts...and while I didn't have time to take the fully cooked picture of the roast - here is a slab sitting on the lowest end of medium rare (128°F) and of course...the ribs. Can't forget those ribs.

Had everyone out by 10:00 - at which point I crashed.

Dinner looks delicious. I really love your aquarium! I am currently tankless, but have had many over the years. Everything from cichlids to reef. What do you keep in it?

Thank you. I has an issue earlier this year that wiped out all my LPS/SPS and 90% of the anemone. I'm down to just a few red bubble tips and some odd and end coral right now.

Youngest fish I have is about 8 years old, most of these in the tank I've had since 2005. There are mostly tangs...yellow, powder brown, kole, scopas, a couple angels, foxface, cardinal bangies...typical stuff. I just lost my 2 clownfish that were over 20 years old. '22 was not a good year for this tank.

Plan to rebuild the tank this year...had a few other house projects I wanted to get done first (which now are). I'll probably just go softie now, as spending thousands on unique corals is getting old.

Maybe I'll revive the tank thread when the time comes.

Sorry to hear of the trouble in ‘22. It says much of your love for the hobby that the fish have lasted so long, not an easy feat. When I kept a reef, I was an active member of a local group that had monthly meetings and auctions for members. It was a great way to buy some cool coral on the cheap. Any groups like that near you?

We do have one here...years ago I got some frags from a fellow reefer that created a 7+ year battle with flat worms. So hesitant to do that again (though I QT everything now).
