Me too, nearly 3 years. Lucky me, working at an airline and travelling wasnt too expensive. Did ya ever encounter the point when the time together extends the normal holiday length and you catch yourself watching the clock how long do you have to take it longer?

Yeah man. All the time and it just made things harder. We talked about moving in and getting more serious but we couldnt decide on who would move where. Was a total pain but they were good times. Every so often she'll shoot me a text or hit me up on gChat to see how I'm doing. But that's about it. As far as I know she's still single and hasnt dated anyone long term in a while.

So I've never posted in this thread, but have been lurking and reading it. You guys have some good advice so figured I'd share my situation and seek some opinions:

I met this girl on a dating app. We went on 3 dates, 1 for lunch, 1 for dinner, 1 to the movies, followed by a long walk and sit in the park to discuss life and stuff. She is of South Asian descent so body contact was a little limited, she hugged me many times and kept me close. She didn't kiss me though when I was going in for it. Also, she lives in Philadelphia while I live in Michigan (she is from my alma matter and is a member of a fraternity that my friend was in). She's also an engineer like me and a sorority sister. I'm 26, she's 23. Over the last 2 weeks, we've been having conversations every day via text message and google chat. I called her twice but she came up with an excuse not to pick up my calls. I feel like I caught feelings for her and am hoping she reciprocates but can't be sure - I am more flirtatious than her and she tends to keep her feelings reserved a bit. She knows I'll be back in Philly in 2 weeks, so she has set up a date for me to go drinking and go to a block party with her and her friends.

How should I tackle this situation? Should I keep this going - I like everything about her? How can I avoid being friendzoned for sure?

I recommend a full frontal attack on her most vital organs... her ears. Just talk to her. Tell her you are looking forward to your date in a couple weeks and you are hoping to take the relationship to the next level. Doesn't have to mean physical. Tell her what you told us. I would definitely make sure you don't have only big group dates. Like, tell her you want to make sure there is some alone time. Be direct. Props to a fellow Michigander (former, in my case).

I'd say keep texting/ chatting with her daily. When you see her in a couple weeks, if she isn't touchy-feely with you, you've been friend-zoned. Then get over it.
