Remote upload of my kid doing some light painting with a sparkler. A beautiful evening to end a great day with the family.

I went to Lake Tahoe yesterday in my buddy's new Jeep. We took the back way over the mountains.

That little combo seems to do pretty nicely Mark. Very sharp.

Dave I love the bunny shot. All I ever get in my area is jackrabbits.

The ladies love bunnies. Maybe a baby jack rabbit would be a hit.

That bunny stayed nice and close (the only crop is to go to 5:4 aspect). With 700mm on a full-frame, it was filling the sensor, so I took around 80-shots. That was the only one where the light caught the eyes just right.

Some people don't take enough shots to get to the "next level". I could have gotten an okay shot on my first shot, but I kept hoping it'd move into the light a little better, turn it's head a little and get a great eye-light. The sun hitting the eye from the back made the shot, IMO.

Especially with the roof panels removed

Nice shot of the shuttle Kevin. I didn't make it there on my last trip, but I get to LA pretty often and do want to revisit.

My thoughts exactly. I was out shooting butterfly shots this morning and took over 500 in a few hours. I was telling the biology prof who was with me that I fire away on full auto while the butterfly is flitting around a flower so I can get the best in-flight shot. Same thing with birds. The more shots you take, the better your chances are of getting a good action shot.

Agreed. Although not as cool and stylish as the M3 blind.

Here's one from last year, just reprocessed in a slightly different way, hopefully as practice for the forthcoming aurora season.

Beautiful aurora shot!

Just got back from a 6 day motorcycle / photography trip up to Tail of the Dragon in North Carolina / Tennessee (and some riding into northern Georgia as well as parts of SC). This was taken at the top of Cherohala Skyway.

Alan, great aurora, stunning actually.

Dmitriy, love the subtle landscape colors and layers.
