Set aside too many tickets for celebs and marketing. Pricing hats at $100 that sold online for $40. Average race.

Red Bull top speed did not matter
Despite the Red Bull top speed, it was actually the low speed corners where Max gained time on Ferrari.
Max talent for managing the car control exploited this new strength. Ferrari remains top in high speed corners but low speed is now dominated by Red Bull. Tire management remains a strength for Max, particularly gaining a 3 sec advantage on his out lap after pit. Two fastest laps, note Max did not have DRS. Ferrari used DRS to gain top speed advantage but was still slower. The rear wing differences are interesting, the Red Bull seems to have a larger DRS flap but may be an optical illusion. Top speed advantage and low speed advantage seems impossible but Newey and Co have designed a magic suspension to accomplish this. Well done.

Marko has responded to Binotto's comments that RBR is running out of budget as nonsense. He added that Ferrari's budget may be knocking on a perilous level itself if not more not only because of their awkward bulbous aero package and suspension set up with it's accompanying porpoising but Sainz's several accidents with the hidden additional damage are costing them dear.

I also wanted to add this from f1technical since it looked cool, it is the CAD view of the legality boxes, i.e. the diamensions the car is allowed to be built upto and must be within.

Starting to look like Red Bull really nailed the new regulations and may have set themselves up for a potential decade of dominance (considering 2026 will be RedBull Porsche).
The era of Super Max is upon us. All hail Jos and Sophie. |

RedBull is still on their first ICE. I would have thought after Australia they'd have to replace.

https://grandpx.news/dehydrated-vers...-3kg-in-miami/
"Dehydrated Verstappen lost 3kg in Miami May 10, 2022 Max Verstappen reportedly lost three kilograms due to dehydration en route to victory in Miami. The Floridian sun and new street circuit made Sunday’s race a particularly tough one for the F1 drivers, but it emerges that world champion Verstappen was deprived of a drop of water throughout. “Installing a hydration system is currently being considered by the engineers,” former Red Bull driver Robert Doornbos told Ziggo Sport. “But it’s another kilo of ballast they can’t afford.” He admitted he isn’t sure if the 2022 Red Bull has a standard drinks bottle installed, “but I wouldn’t be surprised if they decided not to.” Dutchman Verstappen, 24, was notably exhausted after the race and immediately found a drink and sat down before being ushered onto the podium. “Max has certainly shown in the last two races that he deserved the title,” 1997 world champion Jacques Villeneuve told the Dutch publication Formule 1. “He’s right at the peak of his abilities, always on the border. There is not a single race where he is less than that now.” Villeneuve also thinks a clear driver hierarchy for the 2022 world championship has now emerged at both Red Bull and Ferrari. “They each have a leader who is not determined by the team but simply by the track,” said the Canadian. “Verstappen and Leclerc have become number 1 in a natural way. “Carlos Sainz and Sergio Perez – let’s call them the sidekicks – can win races,” Villeneuve added. “But they are not yet at number 1 level.”"

VER, LEC and RUS have one major advantage compared to former world champions HAM, VET and ALO: currently they all have a physical body of 24 years.
And no matter the experience advantage of the veterans, the sequence of physically demanding F1 racing (FP - qualies - races) with stiff competition by the younger generation, is tougher for the older guys to 'process'. Not surprised that RUS is coping better with the W13 car than HAM. The violent purpoising must be more straining for HAM than for RUS. IMHO, if HAM were 24 again, he would perform better.

RB could dominate between now and 2025 but once 2026 comes, I'm not counting out Mercedes. Everyone is so high on Porsche but they have very little F1 experience relative to teams who have been here for the turbo-hybrid era. |

1-Last season HAM was still aggressive enough to ram MAX in the Copse turn at Silverstone ! 2-HAM showed his aggressiveness again and pushed Checo into the pitlane at the Turkish GP ! If you mean the last race at Abu Dhabi ? Well ...HAM couldn't take too much risks in that last lap , because if they both crashed MAX would get the 2021 WDC anyway .. Because MAX won more races in the 2021 season . I agree . HAM's door is already closed at Mercedes because he is losing it completely from the Russell boy ! By this HAM's market value is already 'halved and his 2023 Mercedes contract will look like a joke and finally he will refuse it as well ... HAM has 2 options for the 2023 season : 1- Retire 2- Looking for another team and seat

BTW I know we will never agree on this topic which is fine we are all F1 fans as far as I'm concerned, but I do appreciate and respect your fire for F1 and Max. I'm a Ham fan as you are a Max fan. Just as you have reasons to support Max I have mine for Ham. Hopefully we can get back to some wheel to wheel racing at some point. If not so be it, the memories were great. |

Remember that during the 2007 F1 season VER, LEC and RUS were kids of only 9 years while Hamilton was 22 years and racing in F1 (and very close to winning the world championship that season). |
