Some footage of the Ferrari driving over curbs. You can see how much it upsets the suspension and causes the car to bounce on this new suspension. The inerters and hydraulic suspension used last year was able to fully dampen this out and keep the car stable, but with this new more basic setup the cars can't tolerate it anymore.

No I can't embed this one for some reason. But it is a public video you can watch the clip without an instagram account, just click the link and it will play.

Ok I'm not sure why it's doing that. I'll try to figure it out.

Max Verstappen just extended his contract with RB until end 2028
https://racingnews365.com/verstappen...il-end-of-2028 And I think it figures. There has always been very good relations with Max and RB; never did Max blame the team when things were not so good (unlike others....), he always considers himself as part of the team. He's been with RB since 2014 I think? (then still in the junior team)

Red Bull is Max. If LeClerc got that alleged contract from Ferrari then Max most certainly deserves this. I think the most realistic near future of F1 will be LeClerc v. Verstappen for a bit. Norris with potential to be in there too but I think Russel may be overhyped although he has potential as well. |

Honestly I'm not happy that they keep removing technology and innovation out of these cars to save money. I understand the finance behind it but I love the technology aspect as much as the racing. I used to watch Indy and IMSA back in the 80s and 90s but as soon as they went spec and BOP I stopped, and have not gone back. The racing is good but I want to see multiple aspects to racing. Design, engineering, driving and strategy. Remove one and I'm bored. Of course you can argue engineering within a set of technical and financial rules, but this is racing at the highest level and teams shouldn't be removing innovative technology. Just my 2 cents that doesn't matter 😀 |

HAM's at it again having a moan and this time calling Max a bully with the way he drives. I guess he'll take his 'moaning mask' off before going to bed then wonder where he put it when he arises. I'm off for an early night and I'll laugh myself to sleep at this.

Gone are the days the team would have 4 engines over a weekend, 60+ different exhausts, Specific engines, body and more just for Quali. Life has moved one, waste is rightly frowned upon and the people that used to bank role these things are no longer prepared to pay for the exorbitant costs. F1 has to evolve and that’s why again engines will simplify even more in future and costs will need to reduce even more. It means Audi and others might join the sport though and keep it in rude health. Does that mean innovation is dead, absolutely not, engineers just need to work harder to come up with new ideas with the boundaries that they have. Was the Shuttle good in the past but massively expensive on every flight, yes. And so F1 now needs to have its Elon Musk day in the lime light to reduce costs and progress on a firmer footing. |

I'm not saying bring back qualy engines super exotic metals and throw away parts. I see nothing wrong with highly engineered suspensions, even active to a degree as it's production relative as they always say. The MGU-H is incredible and and the amount of money that's already been spent will some be wasted. At this point we are going back to the 90s suspensions that's not advancing IMHO.
