RIP Lightning....outscored 7-0 in final 2 games is pathetic. Caps earned it, respect.

Someone should of told the Bolts they had a game last night.

Believe me I am aware. So many 'fans' crawling out of the woodwork. Yet don't own a single piece of Caps gear.

I don't deny that there are diehard fans of the team but it seems like 3/4 of the people I talk to didn't watch a single regular season game.

I'm torn on who I'd like to see win. On one hand I wouldn't mind seeing Ovi finally winning one. On the other you know if Vegas wins there's sure to be a movie made. Who would play Fleury?

The NHL commish and Executives definitely want to see the Capitals win. For a 1st year expansion team to win the Cup it would debunk their whole system. The NHL wants the more established team, city and fan base as winners.

Don’t be surprised if some/a lot of calls go the Caps way.

You heard it here first.

Wow, the last time I posted in the last hockey thread was during the 2016 playoffs when the Caps downed Philly. We all know what happened after that round...

No bandwagoner here, I got my first caps t shirt during Ovechkin's rookie year (with the Capitals) and it's all torn up from the wear and tear and all the washes and tears lol

Anyway, I came to post this crazy video of the Vegas playoff intro. Did anybody see it? Leave it to Vegas to go over the top. If this is what they do for the conference finals, this Stanley Cup final series should truly be epic.

Wilson's hit was fine

The game was fantastic . . . for those of us that are fans of other teams it's no wonder our teams are not in the finals!!

The Vegas 4th goal shouldn't have happened. Missed call on the cross check for sure. That said, refs missed calls both ways throughout the game. It didn't seem biased or one-sided. Caps had other opportunities to score but didn't (like Eller fanning on the puck last few seconds of the game).

Caps lost bc they didn't play their heavy game and Holtby has forgotten all about rebound control.

Shoulder to shoulder, maybe. But there was no puck. Thats a penalty.

The way I saw it was Washington resorting to cheap shots against one of Vegas' top scorers. Going to take a lot more than that to stop the Knights

watch it again everyone, IN REAL TIME. there's a second or less that transpires from the point where March makes his pass and then gets cleanly hit by a big, big man. take a couple of tenths out of the equation and Wilson isn't even in the box. Marchessault was too busy admiring his handy work and forgot he's playing a full-contact sport. Not everything Tom Wilson does is bad just because it's Tom Wilson doing it.

My favorite part was the non-call cross-check that happened directly in front of a linesman and was immediately followed by a goal against Washington. What a country! Nice job, Zebras.

Caps defense was abysmal. If you put 4 up on anyone in the SCF, you should be winning. On to game 2.

That hit aside it was a great game of hockey by both sides. 10 goals and the most lead changes in a Stanley cup final game ever. what more do you want?

The cross-check should have been called but there were plenty of missed calls throughout the game on both sides. So normal NHL playoff referring.

Neither goalie looked all that sharp. Will definitely make this series interesting.

Yep...agreed 100%

Blind side hits after the puck is gone is just bush league. Especially going after top players. Wilson is in the beginning stages of Marchand douche-baggery.

Reaves was a penalty too...saw a bunch of no-calls last night. But, sometimes just makes for a great game to watch.
