Just finished working on this one so it is getting quite a bit of wrist time. I picked it up in pretty rough condition. Now, fresh crystal, gaskets and original band. It is dead nuts accurate set to the atomic clock two days ago and no loss or gain to the second. Build date is 1982.

My wife and boys bought me this for Father's Day. I bought my wife a Rolex for Mother's Day and while she was in the store getting it sized, I noticed this Tudor... I was really drawn to the simplicity of the design, the yellow accents, the power reserve dial and I liked that it had an in-house movement. My wife made a mental note without me being aware.
My issue now is which watch to wear... the new one or my Tag.

My Father's Day gift to myself. Linjer Classic. One of the few black watches out there that's actually functional without having everything blacked out so you can actually tell time. Been very happy with the watch. Great build quality. Solid feel and weight. Extremely fast shipping. Even though their shipping operations are in Hong Kong, I placed my order Wednesday and got my watch Friday morning. Better shipping than Amazon Prime.
Stats on the watch: Ronda 5 quartz movement, sapphire crystal, 316L stainless steel case, screwed down case back, and full grain leather band. For the $249 I paid for it shipped, I think this is one of the best values out there. Will end up getting their chronograph watch in the future. |
