I can't believe I never knew about this thread! Been a househead since 96 and was out of the scene from 03 to 08...Man, I miss my Mark II's! I still remember when I first got my CDJ-500s and went with CDJ-100s as a spare pair...now everyone can pretty much hone their skills through skins, how things changed in just 5 years! to the OP, mad props for starting this thread! time to get back with the program! =) I'm surprised no one (or maybe i should read through all 31 pages) mentioned this track!

sounds like the humble beginnings of a rising dj...just make sure u do mix what u feel is best. there isn't a right or wrong way of transitions unless its quite obvious if horses are galloping all over the place...to really get a true feel on things, i suggest get at least some cdjs asap...=)!

I know what you're saying but without decks it's hard to control more than one thing at once. Imagine DJing with one hand lol. Check out the rest i didn't do so well in the beginning.

This is the last set I made... again everything on the fly... still learning as I go... I think it's a gradual step-up from the first two mixes I made. I noticed like 4 or 5 major screw-ups on my part though... oh well, pratice makes somewhat-perfect right? lol

Duddeeeeeee! you improved a lot. You're mixing is getting a lot better. One advise to you. Dont let the end of the song go too long. You'll get a better understanding of song structure as you mix more often. but most dance songs have an intro and an outro for you to mix. Once the outro kicks in you should already play some elements of the intro of the next song. Do you have a tracklist by the way?
