RANT ON: I fear this is the year that the Hawks finally succumb to their injuries. They've been lucky the past few years but currently there are Too many injuries in key positions. I blame lack of investment on the O-line and poor coaching: Russell gets an ankle (right) first game, running for his life on bad ankle 2nd week, 3rd week MCL (left) knee. Now instead of sitting him for the 4th game going into a bye which would have given Russ 3 weeks rest they play him in a meaningless game against the hapless Jets. For what?! Russ insisted on playing and Carroll is too much of a players coach to have balls to say no. Instead he suffers a torn pectoral muscle on his throwing side. Anyone that's keeping score: that's Right leg, Left leg and essentially his Throwing Arm. SO due to the ineffectual offense, the Defense, which has been stellar, is on the field for vast majority of the game. They start out dominating with 3 and outs for the first QTR but it doesn't matter because 4 plays later their back on the field. They have performed above and beyond considering but they too are starting to break down (plays AND injuries) because of the F'n offense and it's inability to possess the ball. Getting Rawls back may help but Russ showed last year that he doesn't need a dominate back to be successful. Last half of the season, with both Lynch and Rawls down, he had the best stretch of his career. But he has to be healthy and that all comes back to the O-Line. With Carroll and Schneider believing their sh!t don't stink and everything they touch turns gold (ie turn anyone into a linemen and invest 5.7 mill in a proven bust (J'marcus Webb 3rd string)) they are directly to blame for this current mess. Which is a shame because everything else in the division lined up perfectly, with a defense that had the potential to be better than the '13 D. RANT OFF. Hats off to Dallas, your owner is an Ass*Hole, but what an amazing year in the face of adversity. Last edited by Wraith.; 11-04-2016 at 05:00 PM.. |

yup. even in the offseason everyone was wondering, who the hell is going to play o-line for us? now we have answer. nobody. wilson has like 80yds rushing this entire season, that is alarming. (we know why)
if i was on the defense i'd be seriously pissed. it's sad that their efforts somewhat go to waste. but, given those things, our record aint bad. |

Low key I like the NFL better when the raiders are a good team, good for them!
Ps I hate when the Hawks play Monday night. Don't like waiting

Unfortunately I still think Seattle is going to the Super Bowl. Nobody in the NFC besides the Cowboys and maybe Atlanta can defeat them, but Seattle has so much experience and comes up big in clutch moments. They still have a top defense and that alone keeps them in games.

Despite losing their 3rd straight, the Vikings remain atop the NFC north. Lions are making a run of it! I got in on the Vikes/Lions pool for turkey day.

seattle needs to come out and show something offensively tonight. they need to run the ball.
reading reports, wilson says he feels as best as he has since wk 1. so i need to see read options, the whole repertoire. defenses aren't scared anymore, and i don't blame them with an unhealthy wilson. they need to bury buffalo. and again, OC needs to be fired at the end of the season. |

What they need to do is trade chancellor for some value, or an established O linemen in the off season- McCray has stepped in nicely , and I low key feel this "groin injury" is a hold out.

SB 49 seemed like another case of "Seattle plays worse the entire game until the end and somehow gets the W" but Brady, Edelman, and Butler saved the day. The tears of the entire city tasted so sweet I must say. |
