Real Racing 3 game on my iPhone reminded me Le Mans is coming up!!!

One little trivia from the game, the town to Le Mans has a population of 150,000. But during the 24 hour race week, there will be more than 500,000 visitors and teams!

I love that game haha I'm currently trying to upgrade my LP-700 so I can get to the GT GT1 races

Cool trivia that is a TON of people, I wonder how the town is able to accomodate them all?

Camper-vans, camping sites, etc.
I wonder if any visitors will stay in Paris instead, its "only" 210 km away.
Also "near by" towns Anges and Tours is about 100 km away.

I have "Truth in 24 II" DVD given by Audi during one of their Experience Drive Event last year. I had the opportunity to drive the new R8 V10 and meet ex-F1 and Le Mans LMP900/LMP1 winner Emanuele Pirro as guest speaker that day.

Amazing documentary of Le Mans and challenges Audi (and other teams) went through in 24 hours. Amazing achievement!!!

July has 3 F1 races, Germany's MotoGP stop, DTM in Moscow, BES in Netherlands and Belgium, BMW @ Spa, ADAC on the 5th, and dont forget the TUSC and IMSA events in July in both Canada and Indianapolis and a Maserati Trofeo on July 20th.

These crashes a lot of the time look a lot worse than it seems. The cars are designed to take and absorb the impact with the least amount possible which would affect the driver.

Conscious, the driver was taken into the care of the ACO’s Medical Services who were immediately on the scene, extracted from the car to an ambulance and then immediately transported to the Le Mans Centre Hospitalier where he will undergo further examination.

His condition is reported as encouraging.

The test session recommenced at 17h55.

Um...what? So Duval crashes on the 11th and by this morning, the 12th they had the car rebuilt? That's amazing. While the car is rebuilt, Duval will be out for precautionary means. He will be replaced by backup driver Marc Gene. This was NOT a spare chassis or an additional car. They rebuilt Duval's Audi overnight.

Wow! For sure I thought car no. 1 was out. It's insane how these teams can rebuild cars in such a short amount of time.
