Ok George Orwell... This is the United States. Soon to be Nazi Germany... Our govt is working on it. Believe me, they want to regulate every aspect of our lives... Right down to our personal water usage. But we aren't there yet. They can't possibly monitor everyone at this time anyway.

Why does everyone say 7 killed? He had 6 victims. I don't ever count the stupid fuck who did the killing... he doesn't deserve that respect. In fact IMO, no one should ever know the name of the one who commits the act. The fame, or infamy in this case, is one of their motivators.

2nd I think the BMW thing is that the media is trying to show how affluent he was. Although I don't think they understand that some e9x's are very affordable and that there is a new gen of BMW's. But still it seems to be a major focus point.

You guys have to understand there are millions of videos uploaded to youtube every single day. I bet that the video did not even get over 100 view until this actually happen. So there was no real way someone could have reported it.

UPDATE: Santa Barbara County's Sheriff's scheduled news conference postponed until 5:00 p.m.

The Santa Barbara County Coroner's team has established a crime scene at the apartment complex where suspected shooter Elliot Rodger claimed he lived, prior to Friday's mass murders in Isla Vista.

NewsChannel 3 witnessed forensics experts removing three bodies from the Capri apartment complex on the 6500 block of Seville Road Saturday afternoon.

There is no confirmation from authorities whether this latest discovery increases the number of people killed, which stands at seven, including the gunman.

The timing is significant based on a more than one hundred page manifesto Rodger allegedly published hours before the killings.

"On the day before the Day of Retribution, I will start the First Phase of my vengeance: Silently killing as many people as I can around Isla Vista by luring them into my apartment through some form of trickery."

Sheriff Bill Brown will give an update on the investigation during a 4:00 p.m. news conference from the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Headquarters.

The music industry loves to report videos while being uploaded but this is what we really need to be looking for is people who need help or are about to do something rash to the general public

Even though this man was sick in his head and felt entitled to the world... i will argue some love, care and guidance would have done wonders.

Many men just don't understand what social norms and manners are. Their male DNA is wired to just want to reproduce and without being able to cause extreme weak cases like such to break and do psychotic things.

Born and raised silicon valley, I come across men socially awkward and unable to understand why women are not attracted to them. They wear fancy clothes, drive nice cars, and feel if they follow the formula 1-2-3 (like the good engineers they are), there should be an outcome. Education and enlightenment in this area would really help many out.

When I was younger I was socially awkward and spent years making mistakes, building up hatred inside. But instead of giving in, I worked hard to grow and figured out why likeable/popular/charismatic people are the way they are (modesty, decisiveness, hard work, and drive). My Myer-Briggs as a ESFP definitely helped me too along with my parents always teaching me to love and be compassionate, not to hate. It's just sad to see some people can never grow but instead turn down the path of darkness.

RIP to all the victims, it's horrible thinking all the young souls died due to some kid's insecurities about himself. A reminder to all my guys to throw some guidance to awkward men you meet, you never know how a little help can go a long way (and maybe prevent something like such from happening)
