Why should someone who decides to blow more money on a car be justified in breaking the law to "segregate" their car from others (a terrible word choice, by the way)? I mean no disrespect, but your argument stinks of narcissism and a lack of consideration for others. |

It is indeed conceptually impossible to prove that someone who owns an exorbitantly priced car can afford to fix it. However, realistically, I believe it to be extremely unlikely there are people who decide to spend a ridiculous amount of money on a car, haven't considered the assumed risks I previously mentioned, and are not prepared to incur other costs, whether it is for regular maintenance (I imagine not cheap at a Ferrari dealership), accidents, and random acts of resentful violence. Unfortunately, we often find we must, in the real world, deal with statistical probabilities rather than absolutes. This is especially true with the incredibly fascinating world of quantum physics. OK...I admit I've gone way too far with this and have gotten off on a tangent. That's what being bored in a hotel room on a business trip does to me. Rigorous logical arguments and philosophical masturbation aside, you don't have to be smart to be rich, and I pity anyone with the naivety and financial myopia who would make such a poor decision. At the end of the day, those with the money will want to make their own rules, without giving a shit about their fellow man. Sounds a bit like the behavior of leaders of countries under the "Axis of Evil", doesn't it? |

My thoughts exactly. If you don't want to get hit, just park far away... in any car.

Who's the bigger asshole, the guy who dents your door, or the guy who parks far away and takes up 2 spots?

If any one of you people bought a ferrari and someone dinged it, i dont care how much money you have to fix it, you'd be miserable. I'd eveb go so far as to say many would cry like a little baby. As long as there's enough spots for everyone to park, people can park wherever the fuck they want. Parking a bmw that way though, IMO looks retarded.

I just realized that the same people who are getting pissed off about that guy parking like that with his ferrari are probably the same kind of people who would key it.

Which is why i tend not to park it on the street in boston...unless I have to cuz there's a red sox game, and there's no other way to get to my garage, than to drive towards kenmore square. I still think if you love your car and want to park it far away, who cares how many spots you're taking up? It's not like you are taking a spot away from someone else... Or maybe all you angry people just like dings in your door. I dunno about you guys, but I don't have any and when it does happen, cuz I know it will eventually, it'll suck, but until that day I'm going to do everything I can to make sure it doesn't happen.
