I just find it hard to believe that a 230hp 328i beats a 300hp G35. I have driven both, and the G is faster. Unless your Magnaflo muffler gave you ~70hp, I just dont see how you got 4 cars on him.. The only thing I can think of is for you to find a different G35 and race him. Maybe your friends car has something wrong with it?

Car and Driver ranked the 2007 328i above the G35. Even they said the 328i could beat it.

actually, did you ever mention what year G35 you're "racing"? I think we all just assume it's a new one, but the new ones have more HP than the G35 of a few years ago if it's old and beat up maybe you do stand a chance |

iirc they were about 255 to start, but that got bumped up to 270ish or even a bit higher in the last g35 coupes edit, the early coupes had 280, later 298 hp |

not positive but i think they started at 275 and if you get the 6MT (at least the new ones) you get 295, idk when 295 started being available, def wasnt the first few MY's

They were both automatics- The maximum power that G35 AUTO coupe ever made was 275hp @6200 rpm(2007 model).
Here is a coupe comparison: 2007 G35 vs. 2007 328i 275 hp@6200 vs. 230 hp@6500 268 lbft@4800 vs. 200 lbft@2750 3505 lb vs. 3417 lb |

for the people that didnt read the entire thread... I drove the g35 after seeing the 328 beat it.. i drove it because i thought that the g35 driver wasnt pushin the pedal to the floor.. when i drove it. i did break launch traction off and EVERYTHING.. and i lost by half a car - a car length... WHY WOULD HE BULLSHIT.. what will he gain out of it?... as if he was lying would make it true or something.

they ran like 4 times.. i drove it 1nce.. my launch was the best one out of them all... i would say it was an almost perfect launch.. very little wheelspin.. reved it to ABOUT 2k rpm
