awesome car! but im wondering why your "idrive knob" on the dash instead of behind the gear selector like the one on the audi website?

That's because i don't have a navigation system. It's not available for Russia :mad:

I have the latest BMW idrive in my 525i and i can say the system in S5 has pretty much the same functions - all kinds of settings, telephone, cd, radio, climate etc. also tv and navi but i don't have them. The only difference is that the board computer is on the smaller display between tachometer and speedometer.

isnt there a screen on the dash? the one that's to the right of the steering wheel? what does that screen do?

thats the navigation screen, but he doesn't have the navigation option but can probably control the radio, temp, and other functions on it.

Similar to the new C class. Whether or not you have the navigation, you still have the the pop up screen for other functions.

Audi call this the "MMI" Multi-Media Interface

Audi MMI = BMW iDrive

i really like the car, much..i like all the cool little details too...buuuttttttt,,,,the chrome mirrors. never liked em and they keep doin em. Not a big complaint. certainly wouldn't stop me from getting the car, but why? meh,,whatever
