So I went ahead and started the mods. =)
I was looking under the truck, and it already has a very nicely made 3" mandrel bent exhaust, stock, with no resonators, so I decided instead of spending $3-400 on a catback (lol at Eisenmann prices for E90), I spent $150 and put a Magnaflow 18" universal in place of the stock muffler. All I can say is WOW what a sound this V8 can make. It's VERY nice with the Magnaflow. Not overbearing, and definitely not raspy or poppy. So it begins. =) Next on the list is the spray in bedliner, or the tint. Haven't decided which to do first, but it will probably be the bedliner, since it's more important. |

nice truck matt! keep up the good work, nothing better than driving a pick up in America, the entire place (perhaps not LA) is just made for pick ups

BTW, nice truck. Just remember, in this context, RAM is a name, not a verb.

Don't forget the gun rack in the back window...oh, wait, you're in California. Scratch that.

Nice truck man. My buddy at work just got the Mega Cab and that thing is HUGE!
Plans to drop or lift it? I'm a former sport truck guy, and fancy lowered trucks. But it's always been a bit more difficult to pull of the drop look on a Ram to me. Wheel size and drop have to be just right. They do look great lifted though. Congrats! |

I shopped every full size truck, this one ended up having the best incentives, and was my second choice of preferred truck anyway. I wanted the Tundra, but this one had twice the incentives, and a nice discount to boot.
It's not getting a drop, ever. lol. It's getting a "levelling lift", where the front end get's raised a few inches to flatten out the stance of the truck. Right now it's canted forward. It'll be getting offroad wheels and tires, a bedliner, a tonneau, tinted windows, and a little more sound equipment. Matt |

Combo... I don't want a vinyl tonneau because someone can cut it and get in, or just be a vandal. I don't want a fiberglass one, because I don't want to deal with taking it off and storing it when I need the full bed...
So I want to get a hard plastic roll out. |

I used to have an '04 Dodge 1500 Hemi. That thing was a beast. I used it to pull trees and stumps out and it never complained. Also towed my 25ft boat with it. It always looked meek to me; that is until I put Toyo Open Country M/T 33's on it. Those tires are freaking awesome. Alas I ended up selling the truck, boat and the house in the country so I bought the e92 to compensate. I'm surprised that you didn't opt for the Hemi though. At the time I bought mine it was only $800 more than the stock V-8 and it was well worth the money; plus it was actually more fuel effecient than the stocker.

here's the sub I just installed.....
the wires are all still hanging out (not visible when the seat is down) because I'll be changing amps in the not-so-distant future, and I want ease of access. When I change amps, the wires will get hidden. |
