Hoping nothing serious will really happen during race weekend, and Bahrain country will be back to peaceful.

Quote:
The information that reached from Bahrain since the beginning of the week slightly eased the tense atmosphere that prevailed around the race. Correspondent Kevin Eason and Ian Parkes, who first appeared at the location reported is true, the many manifestations, but they were mainly peaceful. There were isolated incidents, such as smoking billboards, but they do not constitute any threat to the people who came there in connection with the race.
Last night saw a very disturbing information. One of the rented car, which traveled staff team Force India was attacked. The move followed a bottle of gasoline. Fortunately, none of the crew members did not address the serious injuries. Despite this, one of the engineers who traveled transportation unlucky team asked for an instant to leave Bahrain.

Unfortunately, my concerns are beginning to be confirmed, although I secretly hoped it was the first and last time this kind of incident.

Guess again...

A firebomb landed near a Force India team vehicle on their way back from the Bahrain Grand Prix track on Wednesday.
The incident happened as the truck was stuck in a traffic jam.
No Force India staff were hurt but one team member not involved in the incident asked to return to the UK.
A spokesman said they were not the target of the attack, which took place on the outskirts of the capital Manama.
More to follow.

If the news report is correct, they got caught in protest crossfire, not being targeted.

Wonder how long will it take for protesters to target F1 to make their voice heard.

I find it strange last years race was postponed and then eventually cancelled. Yet, this year it's full steam ahead. It seems Bernie only sees F1 as a business and nothing else. Definitely some shady deals going on behind the scenes! Well let's hope no one is harmed over the race weekend, and it all runs without a hitch!

Just curious, I'm a Button supporter, I think he can be very fast and he saves his tyres. Anyone else also think the same, or do you prefer Vettel, Hamilton, Webber, Schumacher, Alonso and so forth?

Fun facts: Red Bull has led one lap after 3 races. At the same point last year it was 127. Perez has led 7.

Because Bernie Ecclestone found out how much money he lost by not having the Bahrain GP last year. Also refunding the organizers the fee for the event.

That's why this year he needs the show to go on. otherwise the shareholders at CVC holdings won't be too happy about it...

Regarding tires, hard to tell because after two years without any motor racing at Bahrain International Circuit, its very "green" and dusty I suppose. And the track will evolve very quickly during sessions and throughout the race weekend.

But the warmer temperature compare to previous races might hinder the durability of the Pirellis. Since the tires this season is very sensitive to track temperatures even with just a few degrees centigrade.

Wow, RB needs to just shut up and develop their car. They think this is the first time FIA has banned tech in the off season. You better believe the double drs will be banned in the off season. All the complaining really says something about where they are with their car.

That is an INSANELY long DRS zone. Not sure if it's necessary either, on a circuit with at least two good overtaking spots (T1 and T4).
