Woah. Look at that picture and wiggle with your scroll button on your mouse.

Nice shot! Very unusual. Is that a bell tower or any other kind of tower?

Info here

The rotunda dome is the third-largest church dome in Europe and the ninth largest in the world.

Best story is this (replica bomb is on show there)

On April 9, 1942, during an afternoon air-raid, a 200 kg Luftwaffe bomb pierced the dome (two others bounced off) and fell among a congregation of more than 300 people awaiting early evening mass. It did not explode.

Yes - turns out it appears to be a different image but very similar to mine. The "other" shot was taken by someone else and is for sale on a stock site - can't remember where now.

Oh yeah, I did. I was thinking that I put in the One Image Per Day thread, but you're right. i'll swap it out this weekend.

Too bad. I liked this shot for the warmth contest and it would have worked well here, too.

Thanks. I like it so much partly because it shows the 5D MkII's incredible flexibility in low light. The 5D3 is going to be even better.

I don't think so. Then again, there is really no straight ground or horizon that you could use as a frame of reference.

I put it in LR and played around with it. Seems about level around the -2.8 mark.

the left and right walls should like up with the water if you draw a line across.

even if you look at the water on the rocks in the opening, it looks off.

But you're right, It's definitely a bit of an optics thing there's not much to compare with.
