Im the kind of person who gets polices infractions for walk around my dog unchained because i like to let him run free, so ...

im looking for a bullfight vid in slow motion and flamenco music, close camera shots ... you gentlemans thinks that people goes to the square to see blood, to scream kill the bull kill the bull!!! ... this aint a Roman Coliseum

If they got rid of the stabbing and killing of the bull, it would be completely different. I see where the art and beauty is, but it is all taken away by killing the bull. If it is so beautiful, why kill the bull? It is completely unecessary if thoe whole point is to see the bull and matador "dance." Killing the bull and jamming swords in its spine IS torture. I dont care how strong a bull is, if you are jamming swords into it's spine (that is eventually going to kill it), the bull is feeling pain.

Yeah...if it's about the art, maybe they should just switch to rodeo. Although I'm sure the bulls find rodeo annoying they aren't being slowly tortured to death.

c'mon men ... i dont say bulls feels ok with the knifes on it, just say "slowly tortured to death" is a little bit far from the reality. Yet, there's blood there, you all always gonna win

what i was trying to say is that the suposed cruelty is not, but since there's blood and stabs on bullfight, honestly, between mine and your point of view is clear who of both has the "reason" i cant refuse that

So, you're saying bull fights are not cruel?

The animal is harassed and injured until it is paralyzed or slowly bleeds to death, and it's done purely for entertainment.

I'm not a fan of UFC fighting either, but that isn't cruel since the people volunteer to fight, and they don't fight to the death.

Depends on everyone. The bull dies for a stab in his heart, not by bleeding. After the sword stab, the final one, if the bull dont dies, usually a member of the "cuadrilla" gives a fast death to the bull with the "descabello" wich is sudden, quick lethal.

But the important think, and i like to remark, people dont go to the squares to see blood for the joy blood, stab for the joy of stab, its all circustancial.

We go to see this.

Ole coño, OLE!

Oh...then why don't they stop stabbing it? Problem solved, tradition maintained. Replace the swords with a stick and it would look just the same, minus the part that people aren't there to see anyway. The bull would take a long time to get tired, too, so it should be a lot more exciting.

We both know we won't see that happen though. Why do you think that is?

If you want to stop bullfight, star by stop before a thousand of millions things worst than that on this world. Thats what i mean.
It's awesome, imho. I was really upset that the last time I was in Spain, I couldn't catch a bullfight. It's considered an honor for the bull and all humans involved.

I'm an animal lover and hope I don't come off too rabid about that disposition. I like dogs, big cats, I can ride a horse, etc... Actually, I lived on a farm with my grandparents for a while when I was younger. (if you really wanna do something nasty (albeit necessary) to a bull, look up "nutting a bull") But, to address your point about the hamburgers... Yeah. I love those too.

It's way less 'humane' the way commercial cattle are slaughtered versus the bullfights. Hell, I'd rather go out like the bull. I really would like to avoid a pneumatic hole-puncher to the back of the upper spine. Better to be part of a fight, whether fair or not, than to simply be put down. ymmv

If the people aren't there to see the stabbing and death, why don't they just stop the stabs right now? According to you they'd be just as entertained if not more so, and most of the controversy would go away.

the stabs becomes a tradition. In the past, the old days, they stab the bull to make him angry, so he can fight with more bravery, the thing goes more risky, then more exiciting. The final sword stab, wich at that point i think is the less important, could be appear anytime on the bullfight story, however is a part of the show too.

If people go to see stabs and blood they probably be provided with archs and five bulls on the arena, and the matador doesnt exist.

How about they use a cattle prod and shock him? That'll really piss him off without weakening him.
