I was gonna submit a pix of "melons" too but thought it wouldn't be fair for the contest since we all know it'd be an instant winner. Besides, I don't know anyone who would just let me take pix of their boobs. lol

As nice as the shot is, I'm not sure those melons count for the contest.

Any way, here is my entry:

That's nothing, it's only 1lb. Same day, I cooked up 15lbs of bacon in various forms and recipes. There was bacon in everything except the fried pickles and the roast corn. I even made candied bacon.

Sorry for getting this OT, but bacon is so good.

Yes, just toss it in the oven for a few minutes, and it cooks nice and even. Less mess, and no splatter to worry about either.

Joe, in as much as I appreciate those melons, I don't think they qualify for the contest... too much background. I think you need to reshoot and zoom in a bit

Speaking of which... BMW_E90, your melons shot also doesn't qualify. You need to have no background in the photo. So, either crop that photo tightly, or reshoot with a tighter frame.

Cropped only to 1:1
Ahinahina or Silversword on the endangered species list for the last 25 years and was taken on Haleakala at 10,000 feet. The white you see is the "fuzz" which gives the Silversword its name to reflect the sun at that altitude or it will burn. This was a baby ~ 12" in dia, they will flower one time at ~40 years.

This i like. As much as this is a fun contest; the person who chose the subject needs to lay down the law about what qualifies.

I really need to find time to shoot some new stuff....

Dude, there is restaurant here in Tampa that serves maple cured, dark chocolate coated, sprinkled with peanuts, strips of bacon for dessert. Haven't had the sack to try it yet....

going to a friends wedding tomorrow, hopefully will have some interesting shots. They want me to shoot as much as i can without getting in the way of their photographer.

aparently they aren't really happy with their photographer, so they said "fire away" which i think will be a good experience.

just remembered, i need suntan lotion.... damn pale skin....

Funny, i'll be shooting my nephews wedding saturday.... I am the photog, probono as well. I'm actually just shooting the wedding party so at least i won't be shooting on the fly. 2nd wedding for bride and groom so no need for anything super special. Hopefully i'll capture something nice for them.

was talking with the groom tonight, and he said feel free to shoot everything.

I really get the feeling he isn't happy with his photographer

I think this fills the frame.... and it was shot with that intention.
