FYI - The Porsche Club has events at El Toro on April 22, May 27, and June 17. San Diego BMWCCA has events on May 27 and July 21/22. I urge you to attend one at least one of these. You will quickly find that:
A) You're not nearly as good a driver as you thought you were and B) even if you had PROced'd your car, you'd still lose to Ford Escorts and Honda Civics with better drivers. Its alot of fun, and my friends there will truly show you how to handle your car. I think you'll appreciate your bimmer more than in a typical street or drag race.

I am not bashing you. Been down the road you ride on. Got me no where but close to death/prison. I don't like the sound of either. Well, probably death before prison.

You may still be required to file an accident report with the motor vehicle dept. In many states, any damage over a certain (fairly small) amount requires a report.

We all f-up, but when kids think it's cool and not incredibly stupid, they don't learn enough to prevent them from doing it again. Trust me, after raising four teens, I've done my time. Take it easy and stop fooling around on the streets! Find a track if you need to act like a nut.

Glad you are all ok.
Let's start a pool -- I guess $9,500 for repairs !!

j/k - I'll go with $8000. Complete guess. EDIT - xMSMx posted the same time I did. My vote is now $25K and 3 months wait, if it isn't totaled.

Make sure that you take care of the landscaping -- planter, flowers, etc.
Take it easy for a few days -- accidents are stressful.

thanks.
damage needs to be 67% of the cars value to be considered a total loss? if there is frame damage.. that means its a salvaged title? and my car is a lease.. how does that work out? |
