pffft, i'm taking one freakin picture.

defeats the purpose of taking 3 different ones and just laying the side by side.

The badger obviously has something specific in mind, so I'm allowing the triptych. I guess he's right... if the triptych sucks, no one will vote for it.

I'm just hoping we get a couple submissions this weekend. I didn't want to make a super hard contest, but I figured this would be a step up from the norm. Yeah, it requires some thought, but that's the fun part, imo.

Plus leaving both options open will allow for a broader spectrum for more people to enter and thus more diverse voting options.

So the triptych with a view of my car pic that was oriented the mirrored way of the camera was my plan, couldn't light the car tonight without lighting everything else outside so it looked like ass, living in the 3rd biggest city in the country has it's drawbacks - there isn't anywhere dark enough to shoot something like this. Anyway, still happy with how it came out, tried to bookend the 2 photos to enclose it a little.

I MIGHT try to redo the car shot again before the deadline so we'll see if it happens.

Well the first entry is up. Guess I need to get going. I'm finally beginning to feel human again after battling a nasty cold this week. The last three days have been the best weather of the year so far and I've been laid up. Maybe I can get some shooting done tomorrow.

not sure i'll be in on this action this week, just not sure when i'll be home... I'm at the girlfriends house right now, and headed to Montreal Tuesday, and hoping to have my new ride, then, the girlfriend leaves town and i'm stuck at her place for a few days watching her dogs... (this might be my only opportunity while she's away and i'm bored.)

Time will tell!

What lens is that btw? the 70-200 f/4L? I wish Canon made white lens caps with red lettering for the white L lenses

shot with the 50mm 1.4

You can tell the coffee one is @ f/1.4 but the camera one is at like f/12 so the barrel would be in focus.

it's neat to see the light source off to the side, adds some depth to the picture.
