At that point, you'd have three cops behind you, you pick up the phone and dial 911. Tell them that you're chasing the car in front of you and tell the dispatcher what happened, then you will watch as all the cops speed ahead in front of you and perform the pit maneuever on the SUV in front of you. Then, the kid goes to jail for an assortment of crimes, his parent's insurance pays for your damages, you have one hell of a story to tell your family and us E90poster's AND you get some high-speed driving done in your Bimmer with a get out of jail free card courtesy of the NAMEOFCITY Police Department. It's a win win situation. What you had happen to you sir was simply a fun time in disguise. |

What does shooting people have to do with this thread? Are you guys serial? Again, this forum has become a self parody. I was angry to the point of blurred vision when this went down, but it's a total joke to recomend killing someone (or even weilding a hand gun) over something that, though senseless & infuriating, resulted in a shitty afternoon. "this guy" is totally ubiquitous in any city. The moral of my story today is let him kill himself in blazing retard glory, as he almost did several times. Avoidance is all I'm taking home from this. As soon as I saw him doing his thing, I should have gone far out of my way to distance myself and called the cops for civic ritual, as thats the extent of calling the cops without video footage of said cime, ..... then gotten his address from DMV and solicited a ex-con manrapist to give him some karmic ass love while whispering "whose your tailgating daddy? I'm getting really close to your bumper now. ". Much better as far as revenge fantacy goes when compared to the various gun crimes suggested here. |

Like the biggest asshole in the world. A few minutes of space and it was plainly obvious, but I was Jesus's Son when I was rushing after him in self righteous fury. Five minutes later. different story. Ten hours later, and I'm cringing at the total impotence of my gut solution for dealing with this random act of chaos and the dumb luck that hazard dealt me today.

When somebody is seriously tailgating me, I put my flasher, slow down on the curbside and let him pass. There is no way I will change this moron anyway - and the risk is high. There is a message for him in this. |

i would just find out were he lives, and haunt him for years. I would repeatedly slash tires on his car, key it repeatedly over the course of a couple years. I would make his life hell. And i can picture it now, the gratification of well-deserved vandalism!

That's the chance the police take on every single car chase. So the way I see it, that would be the kid's problem, not mine. I didn't physically make him crash so no guilt on my part.

I wouldn't even waste my time repeatedly coming back to the kid's house to destroy his property. I might make one trip, but after that it just shows that you have nothing else to do in life. |

Sorry about your car. I enjoyed reading your recounting of it all though - you have an interesting writing style (are you a journalist?). In the end I think you did just about everything you could. Its up to karma now - this kid will be paid back somehow, and it ain't gonna be pretty for him.

That's great. Guy tags your bumper, takes off, and you chase him down.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this, but have you considered calling up the local news to see if they want to follow up on it?? It could be something that actually gets some action. I'm sure if the news crew interviewed you and requested calls from others to back up your story that they could get some attention from officials higher up than your local worthless cops.

In most states its legal to get a license at 15 years old, which I think is FAR too young to be held with a mature responsibility like driving...16 years old is still too young. All states should have the age bumped to 17 - thats what it is here in NY. Then again, most states aren't nearly as densely populated as Long Island so it is somewhat understandable.
