Hate to admit it but I am that guy in the gym, although I do not "TRY" to look jacked. I am not there to talk, not there to give you advise on what workouts to do, and I'm sure as hell not there to make friends or listen to what suppliments you are taking or where you plan to go this weekend. I come in the gym, do my stretching, do my workout and go. I will occasionally give or ask for a spot but only to people I know, no I do not have or want a lifting partner and no you cant work in with me. I am in and out of the gym in 1 hour 30 minutes.

So this means you can't give a simple nod and a "Hey, what's up" as you walk by someone you know? I mean, I'm no jacked up meathead, so nobody's stopping me to ask anything about my workout. I do want to get in and out of there too, but a simple, "Hey, I'm blasting through my routine. Gotta roll. Catch you later." doesn't seem too hard to me. I have a hard time accepting dressing up being a douche as being "in the zone."

See, this is acting hard.

Don't confuse going out of your way to chat with common courtesy. You don't have to walk around looking pissed and with blinders on. Give a dude a nod, a "sup," or even a "how ya doin?"

You could have just said "I'm rude.", and left it at that.

BayMoWe, the unfortunate part is that neither common courtesy or common sense are very common.

This is pretty easy to understand.

People act hard to protect themselves. Usually people who do this are ones that have insecurities on the inside and have a hard shell to ward away people who might intrude and reveal these insecurities. They don't really live happy lives.

Honestly, I'm so sick of these kinds of people that it makes me sad for mankind.

The places that have this the worst are at the mall, gym, bars and clubs.

No.

There is a saying that goes "be the gray man", which is what most truly hard people seem to stick to. Driving like an idiot and waving a knife at people (as referenced above) is definitely not being the gray man. The hardest guy in the room is probably the one you don't even notice.

soo true.

I hate when people on the elevator wanna make small talk. My wife is a culprite. We'll be checking out at a store and she'll gab about some dumb shit to the clerk and I'm just standing there like "really can't you just let the girl bag the stuff w/o bringing something up" haha.

Yes people that act hard are very annoying to me. The ones that are actually "hard" are the ones that look normal, dont call attention to themselves. Reminds me of some movie i watched but cant remember the name. One little street thug starts saying he's gonna shoot some other guy for stepping in his path. The boss smacks him on the head and points to all the cops around.

You should already know the hot ones always will do that because they feed off of male attention. But the answer to your problem is simple just bitch slap them when you see one and watch her reaction. She would be so attracted to your masculinity and dominance thats its not even funny. You should try it sometime it works like majic.
this is literally one of the most retarded posts in this thread.

I don't move over and he tries to "intimidate" me to move. I don't. A few moment's later, the truck pulls along side and the passenger leans way out the window and gives me the finger. I just laugh, which makes them get all hot and bothered.

The passenger is making "Pull over motions," and swerves into my lane, then the far right lane. I'm now looking at the driver, who with a look of pure hate and anger, pulls a switch blade knife, flips the blade open and brandishes it at me. From his car. At 60 MPH. (sigh) I burst out laughing, tears in my eyes, which only served to infuriate them further and there is more knife waving. I hold up my finger in the "hold on a second" gesture and reach in my pocket for my badge. I pull back up to them and show it to them and shrug.

The immediate change in behavior was unbelievably comical. They slowed down by 20 MPH, stopped weaving and wouldn't look at me at all. In fact, it looked like the driver shit himself he was so scared.

Why does a punk ass gang banger think anyone would be scared of a knife in another car at highway speeds? Stupidity abounds, and like Fstop said, it depends on where you're from, but in the mean streets of the chi town burbs it's a little ridiculous.
lmao thats an awesome way to deal with it XD

or you could execute them, you know, nobody would care and we'd have a little more space on our blue marble
