Yea those are definitely beginning to look dated. But like an 01 or 02 540 with M sport wheels...mmmmmm

not to mention how amazing that V8 can sound

BTM, I'm with you all the way! I think the E39 (and, yea, especially the M5) is still one of BMW's sexiest cars.

OP, You said you wanted big and luxurious...do not get a 3-series. Even the (compact) sedans are a bit cramped and don't make for a good cruise with your buddies in the back. I would definitely opt for an E60. I forget who mentioned it, but a 525 will definitely be in your price range. Get one with the premium package, use some of that money for rims, and you're golden.

525i E60 is pretty weak--I am not sure that is what he wants.

I believe he specifically said he didn't want performance. So, why not save the money from the more expensive engine and spend it on cosmetics?

E46 = Timeless design at its best.

I still don't understand how a person who likes E46s and E90s can't appreciate the beauty of E39/E36s. Not a big deal though. To each on your own.

yeah, but I think a 2.5 in a car as big as the 5 series is a bit too small lol

535 or 530 would be fine though... still browsing

something like this would be good for me... I'll look for one with navi

545's will be much quicker, though I don't know how decent of an example you're looking at for $25k

Took a quick look at ebay, seems like 75k miles going for around 21, $25k might get you one with about 50 on the clock

yea, i drove that 530 after my e90 328 and it made that 328 feel like a 335, so i bought a e46 330i for half the price and its much quicker...545 is a V8 so the gas will be a little more expensive but it will be a little quicker so in my book worth it....

just go type into google "880000 (or any other amount) km in miles", and it will convert without even having to press enter

ok, i'll be wary of this one (we've bought from these guys before and they were kind of sleazy but the car we got is in pretty decent condition), i'll make sure to check maintenance history etc.

but i'm really digging the 04-05 545i how is the maintenance record?

make sure you do a PPI and get the VIN and get it ran at a BMW dealer, and also dont do a Carfax, Autocheck is better

I just realized it was a manual, you want AT?
