Good point. Once upon a time I considered law, but realized I wasn't some rich kid whose parents would foot the bill for me, and that taking on that much educational debt was a financial risk I wasn't personally willing to take. All 3-year law programs are horrendously espensive from observation, not the just elite schools.
That shouldn't disuade anyone from going for it if they really want to, but you've got to have a passion for it, not just because you "want to make a lot of money." (There's plenty of ways to do that.)
