The picture is from many of the BMW OEM parts store sites, so I'm assuming it's also "officially" placed.

The only difference between your placement and the one in my picture looks to be the 1 inch measurement from the door sill edge - the black one looks to be more centered on the sill, but still appears to be about 9 inches from the hinge (just based on that seam in the plastic to the right of the sill protector).

I think I'll be getting out my painter's tape again to mark off the location before sticking it down.
Got mine at dealer. For the $400+ figured we get rear also. Dammmmm

Definitely. So far I love the car! I’m coming from an etron GT and this feels a bit faster.

What did you go with you to drop the car?

Local shop canoga park. But it’s a simple kit. I had surgery so couldn’t wait. I did have to do the rears again since they left one link misaligned. Broke off in Fontana ca that was 70 away home. They never responded to calls for support so never go to Discount Valley tire on Roscoe and canoga in Valley.
I had to repair rears even purchase extra longs thinking may be a defect. But been find. Since I installed them. Anyways not hard to do rears fronts are a spring replacement
Drop about .75-1.0 in

Gotcha! Thanks. What’s the name of the kit? Was it springs or coilovers?

Picked up Wednesday at the PC. On the way home a truck threw a big rock that dented the hood and chipped the windshield.

H&R front spring rear links. I recommend getting sealer suspension rear link level since have to break it down. I have no issue FaceTiming to show you. The HR kit does t have the proper connectors so have to transfer them from car. Reason I got extra so I can get ready. Well actually learn hard way so have to wait 4 days for leaks since I broke mine. So if get extra car not left without and can’t drive ops
Anyways if need help let
Me know

Beautiful car! I had a rock chip on the hood within the first two months too. I bought the paint kit online and did a touch up myself. Very happy with the kit from ScratchesHappen.com. It looks ok, considering it was a shiny bare metal spot before I touched it up. It's just heartbreaking, but stuff happens.

Here is a link to the thread about what I did to my car.

Thanks, I’ll look into that one. Before I touch up the paint, I think I need to get the dimple removed. It was a BIG rock. I’m going to see my dealer this week. I’ll ask if they have a paintless dent removal guy. I’ll also call the folks that put PPF on our other cars. That guy is a magician.

Car looks great … don’t worry about the dent, things happen. I recommend you google paintless dent removal, many companies in my area and I’m sure MI has them as well. It happened to me before and since I was not confident enough to do the paint touching after the dent removal I took it to my dealer body shop and they did it for free.

Picked up my "almost new" 2024 in Mineral White Metallic a couple of days ago. Love the car so far. Still getting used to the size though. I was driving a C300 for the past couple years and a 430i GC for a few years prior. This car is a large sedan for sure.
