Guess my pain given that I had a brand new X5 g05 from 20.12.2020 till 03.01.2023, which had a lot of different troubles -

1. misaligned surround view cameras (December 2020/January 2021) - at 30km.
2. failed Harman Kardon amplifier (April-May, 2021) - at ~6000km
3. failed gearbox unit (fixed by installing a new unit) (November-December 2021) - at ~16000km
4. failed a/c compressor (fixed by installing a new unit) (April-May 2022) - at ~22000km
5. failed seat ventilation (April-May 2022) at ~22000km
6. poor surface finish of exhaust pipe (new installed) (April-May 2022) at ~22000km
7. poor surface finish of expensive merino leather (new leather installed) (April-May 2022) at ~22000km
8. creaks and other noises (fixed by applying some grease) (April-May 2022, October-November 2022) ~ at 22000km and at ~29000km
9. failed ambient lighting (new led units should be installed) (November-December 2022) - at ~29000km
10. noises from steering rack (November-December 2022) - at ~29000km
11. long lasting problem with the fact that the car jerks in the morning for 2-3 times, which doesn’t leave any fault codes in ECU, and which they seem to be unable to figure out how to fix. I was trying to get dealers to fix this problem starting 21st of September. And now my car is staying at the dealer since 21st of November. Started at ~17000km since the gearbox was changed

I sold the car in favor of Taycan, which I had from 02.2023 till 11.2024.

Then I decided to go back to BMW, which turned out to this disaster.

They provide me with any car, but not BMW - Volvo, BYD, Nissan (now).

Car is coming back today. Entire GWS replaced. Will see if problem recurs. Went 2 month between incidents last time. This problem is different than the one described. Car would not release the parking brake, and drivetrain malfunction seems to be secondary to stuck parking brake. Once parking brake issue resolved, no m ore drivetrain issue. In most recent case, as I said earlier, just removing and replacing (as is) the parking brake fuse solved the problem, at least temporarily.

Today is exactly 3 months since the problem occurred for the first time. There is still no answer from the bmw factory. The car stays outside of the service (it was inside only for a couple of days to do basic diagnostics). Moreover, it again developed the electrical fault even though it wasn’t in use (facepalm). I got to know that as I went there to grab some stuff from the car and noticed that. Since then, mybmw doesn’t work as well (which is natural as all electronics are down).
