On the standard kidney grille it looks ok, the radar is camouflaged by the silver painted 'slats', on the M-grille however the radar is very notable and just looks ugly. |

Looks good, way better than any 7 series. As long as they keep the HP up on the M version it'll be just fine. Also no big weight increase.

For example, my other car a Volvo has all the cameras and radar built into the review mirror sunroof ceiling console. Not saying they do it the same way just that there must be some other way of doing this that is not so butt fuggin ugly.

I am liking the design though it has grown big without much increase in the interior space.
Frankly I might be an outlier here, but I am liking the new BMW designs, they are definitely shaking up things and the new BMWs are a definite conversation piece. I love the new split headlights on my X7 it now looks like a tank and the interior is just beautiful, i am expecting this G60 to be same, once you see it in person it will grow on you just like the X7/7series and the 4/M3/M4 series. Now XM is a different story, that I cannot put my thumb on. |

Not an instant beauty like some of the landmark designs of the past, but at least not as repulsive as some of their latest creations. The fire red is a nice addition to counter the overall grey colour palet.

Strong Mercedes vibes from the rear and overall design language... seems like BMW and Mercedes both culturally cater to a very different BMWs we seen 20 years ago. THink of it what you want.

One item which I’ve not seen mentioned is the radia Athena on the roof, todays this has simply been a shark fin on a plain roof. The g60 seems to have this mounted on a separate piece of roofing.
Not sure why Personally looks a bit fussy to be and may explain why the roof is black to disguise somewhat? Whilst this car isn’t for me having now seen it in the metal, I’m still interested to see how it sells and what options get added in the next year or so. Will they add the sort of things we’ve been used to like Alcantara headlining, soft close doors, etc or are bmw scaling down options on their cars in general? |

IMO with electrification BMW styling is going to be polarizing for a few more years because the ICE grill has been part of their branding. Eventually the kidneys will disappear as customers age out.

I hope that the interior of the doors in the cars that will be sold will be different from the models that have been presented.
I need more space on the doors to put my bottles. The new one: The old one: |

I get that, but what is occupying that space now? Don’t think it’s a speaker because that’s higher on the door. Looks like it’s just dead space instead that wouldn’t have cost more to make as a bottle holder as in the G30.

Not sold on the exterior, but at 41 I don't think I'm the target audience. Interior is very nice but the iPads really cheapen new cars, they are all the same. No more wow factor... just screens like all the other cars.

You sure that’s a radar? It cannot see through wind screen glass material. Radar works at a frequency which is different from cameras. I have never heard of this in the rear view mirror assembly but I could be wrong since Volvo seems to have a different game. Any link to a manual confirming it’s a radar? Looks like stereo camera to me.
