Yet, the 1M has never fully depreciated like the majority of M vehicles, excluding M Classics as they bottomed out and then had many years to climb back. The 1M has held its value consistently due to its limited production. I would not mind owning a low mileage example in Valencia Orange.

740 were said to be sold in the US. More than the ~589 M2CS's... Looking back, I obviously should have bought it. My Baby 1M

The 1M is a cool car. It was my favorite part of an ok Mark Wahlberg movie a few years ago even though the car was barely seen.

I guess the mods want 2 Series questions to keep being posting here so they have to keep moving them. We will just continue posting everything from purchasing questions to engine, suspension, wheels, iDrive, etc. under 'BMW M2 G87 General Topics' until it becomes an absolute nightmare for the mods to actually create a G87 forum and have to sort through all those threads and move them.
Here's an idea, they can make one of us a mod and we'll sort out this mess. |

Or maybe we should just be added to the other G8x forum. You know, since we have the same drivetrain, interior parts, and running gear.

Of course a g87 forum would be preferred, but zero had a valid point. |

He did but we should get our own forum. Despite mechanical similarities from the factory, that's where the similarities ends. Very few aftermarket questions will be shared between them and we will have our unique experiences with the platform. I don't want to be mixed in with the other g8X's. ETA If they need moderators for a potential G87 forum, they can review my posting history and see if I would qualify. I wouldn't mind volunteering for it. Outside of some posts in the firearms thread in the general section, I stick to on topic posts about vehicles and don't get into internet fights or other controversial things on the forum.

It's starting to get difficult to keep track of everything being fitted into one sub forum.

If you want to see a real shit show then yes, put everyone under one forum. People are weird and anytime you entangle groups that are separated by models/badges the 1upping always starts, it never fails. You should have witnessed the animosity when the M2C came out and before it had its own subforum. So many OG M2 owners were acting like children and talking shit. On the flipside some M2C owners were also talking shit that the OG M2 wasn't a real M car. The whole thing was embarrassing but you know what resolved it all? The M2C guys got their own subforum and the OG guys just went back to only OG talk. All was good.

On a serious note, the G87 general forum already has more posts than the G82 general forum. WE NEED OUR OWN FORUM!

Look at everything being posted from vendor parts to recalls to sound bites to owners manuals etc etc etc.
It's all crammed into one sub forum.
