Wow, Checo is the biggest disappointment of the year. I always thought he was a very talented driver just needing a better ride...WRONG

I think Checo's a Sunday driver which is where the points are made. He's still third in the driver's lineup and has done more than any driver in the second RB seat since Danny Ric. He's also got as many points currently than Albon did for the entire 2020 season. Not a total dunce.

Agree he's slowly coming round to be more effective in the race than quali.

Yep, I just figured he would get up to speed quite quickly and be on Max's tail...Most likely too soon but I'd be considering sending GAS back to RB. He seems to have matured and gotten his $hit together. That or the Alpha suits his driving style better

RB is big on results, for sure. But Gasly is not likely to see the senior team again. He will have to leave the RB ecosystem to get a decent drive again.

RB doesn’t expect Checo to be a champ contender, they just need him in the mix at the front to keep MB on their toes. If he hadn’t gotten his lap deleted he’d be on the second row. As it is, with Lando up there and Checo nipping at the heels there’s a good chance MB will overthink their situation and possibly make a tactical mistake. With that, Max is a potential beneficiary.
