Alarms are working out great!

Scanning to get a reading, not so much. Gen 1 I never had this level of issue with scanning. I regularly have to scan 3-4 times before it's successful, even when it just gave me an alarm. Sometimes it just says "scan again" and others I get worried because it says 'scan again in 10" That's generally the death knell for a sensor.

With the FL2, the "scan again in 10" is apparently a safety feature where the sensor locks itself for a bit when it detects a large/implausible measurement jump.

My doctor changed my injectables dosages last week, and my FL2 has been getting quite the workout for the past few days! Had three low alarms go off since yesterday, and the dip about two hours ago was so low that I was having a hard time scanning the sensor because my hands were shaking so bad that I couldn't tap the "scan" icon on my screen or even hold the phone still long enough to scan the sensor.....

My low is set at 85, to give me time to react before I get to "drunk/disorderly appearance" at 50. The sensor is still recording, so it's more important for me to treat the low than to try and document it right now with a scan.

I'm toast at 95, and the FL2 app's highest "low sugar" alarm is 100. Not exactly a lot of buffer room there.....

95, wow that's normal BG. My son is a Type 1 and is on the Dexcom G6, great device! It communicates with his pump to bolus or stop insulin as needed and it constantly sends BG readings to his phone and ours so we all see lows and highs.
