It was a little nuts but yes everyone was safe. Every house on my parents street except one burned down. My town lost 5200 homes and countless businesses in one night. Luckily we were up and woke my parents up who in turn woke up other neighbors & so on otherwise it would have been a different damn story

I'm from NYC. I was in Nassau, it was my first "adult" vacation. So of course, we go to the Bahamas during hurricane season.

The weather held out but it turned out the hotel workers were on strike. Only me.
