just saying that more isn't better. adding more tire, hp, boost, weight doesn't make a car better. Id rather have a more pure experience driving a 4 cylinder cayman than buy a v8 boat like a hellcat for the same money.

That's even stupider than the steering yoke

And in a car with a 60:1 steering ratio. Lol. |

Tesla really should put the eye tracking software in their cars for Autopilot. The steering wheels are incredibly easy to trick, and there are far too many lazy and incompetent drivers who take advantage of that.

Who in the hell sits in their car and plays a video game? Stupid. I guess the same people who find the fart noise app amusing.
I think I'm too mature to own a Tesla.

Well, it DOES give you something to do while you're waiting for it to charge!

This. The Model 3 even has a cabin camera built in, but it's not being used (at least not for driver monitoring). My comma.ai device on my corolla has really amazing driver monitoring and that shit runs off an old smartphone and costs like $800.

It will be interesting to see how ADA compliance works and if Disabilities lobiest raise an issue with the wheel (or lack of a full wheel) and lack of turn signal stalks.

Apparently, at least according to Motor1, the Feds are getting in contact with Tesla. I for one hope that the wheel will be replaced with a normal one. I don't see this passing regulations.

The weird thing to me is that if you wanted a revised steering wheel because you didnt use it that often (due to autopilot), wouldnt you want the bottom part to be open not the top? So you have more room for your legs? What does the removal of the top half of a steering wheel get you?

Yes, it passes time while supercharging. It's a cute gimmick; nothing to get riled up about.

I don't think the flat wheel is on the production model.

Yeah, that doesn't help; just points back to the advantage of ICE charging.
