Wow! Thanks Stepback3 for posting this!! This program is extremely appealing! I'm wondering if they are trying to stay away from major metropolitan areas...🤔 I'd love it if it would come to Houston. I checked out www.accessbybmw.com and noticed there's also a one time activation fee of $575. I wonder why so much. Can you give any insight as to why? Maybe they might have mentioned why - just curious.

Excellent write up! It does make sense when you factor in the insurance coverage. The ability to swap in and out with the vehicle being delivered by enthusiastic and knowledgeable people is a premium service, which by the OP's account sounds like they are executing well. Awesome.

They run frequent specials that wave the initial fee. I imagine they do it so that people don't sign up for just a month then bail. But that's just a guess.

Right now Legend is $1399. M is $2699.

Those are both about 30% less than where they started at last April.

The M is still in the stratosphere, in my opinion.
$2699!! You can lease a M5 for almost half! Though the program is overall good. Price may drop as more people sign up

Agree M is way overpriced.

But to compare apples to apples you'd need to have a 24k annual lease mileage limit. Most of those leases are 10k miles. And then add insurance, too. That would bring them much closer together.

Also... maybe you want an X5M or M6 or i8 roadster for a day.... just switch. That doesn't have an apples to apples comparison.

Curious what is the annual registration fee for you OP? In Minnesota we have to pay about 1.2% of the cars value each year, so a $100,000 car will cost an additional $1,200 a year in taxes. If this program comes to Minnesota i would assume they would have to build that into the price. If they dont and keep the price uniform, that is even more of an incentive to subscribe to this program. I HATE HATE HATE our annual "tab" tax.

Interesting review. Very thoughtful. One major concern I have is you called out all the fun upgrades as a core benefit of the program. I would have to imagine at scale they would be sticklers around what you get within each tier and very rarely give those kinds of upgrades. The extra cars lying around to offer as upgrades sound more like a benefit driven by low interest in the M tier or overstocking due to it being a pilot program. we are talking about the same company that charges an annual fee for CarPlay, I can't imagine them being generous at scale.

No registration fee. No taxes. Just pay the monthly fee and it covers everything except gas.
