i?m not sure how tuning your car is going to go it doesn?t look like they have the speed shop menu like they used to, but it is just the demo and there?s a lot of features that are not included.

It has downloaded onto my PS4 and there is a counter for 1 day 12 hours to go. So it’s not vaporware. About 60gb in size. Good thing I upgraded the hdd a while back when I decided to go digital instead of disc based.

Huge GT fan here, always have been. The question I have is if the game is worth $600? I would need to upgrade to the G29 and get a new stand if I decide to get GTS.
Lots of negative reviews on this one from what seems to be long time GT fans. |

yah....got mine through BestBuy, and got about 12 cars total including BBY electronic gift, limited edition, and also first GT prize. Two of them are Le Mans Audi and Peugeot...pretty nice.

I'm in the former group but I've had the preorder since June of last year (when it was initially supposed to be out a year ago) so I didn't want to cancel my preorder. I'm liking going through the campaign mode right now, even if it's just nostalgia, but I'm not sure how I'll like the game once all I'm left with is online racing. |

Challenges are similar to license but with opponents. The good old days of Sunday Cup with a Miata modded are gone. Playing offline can only get you some arcade mode and Time Trials. I'm not too fond of online racing, even if GT Sport force you to watch two videos of racing etiquette. I'm sure there will be players ruining the race. Just my opinion after completed 90%+ on GT5. Which I enjoyed a lot building my garage and slowly challenge each race, and "one-make races".

Yeah, that's pretty much it and that's my only gripe. Few hours in and I'm already 25% through. I'm a little disappointed that cars can't be modded, the lack of volume of cars, and the lack of modern cars...but most of that can be fixed with DLC.
The absence of a "traditional" career mode is the only true disappointment so far...but I knew that going in... I've been lurking on GTPlanet and a ton of people speculate that a true career mode could be, and might be, added through DLC if enough people complain and reviews are bad (which I heard they are)...but I'm not holding my breath... I have to agree with some of the comments regarding career mode, mods/customization, and variety of car selection.
One of my favorite things about the older GT games was that the story-line in career mode was flexible yet logically organized. The one-make races, same country-of-origin races, and special cups were always exciting events to partake in. As another member pointed out above, i'm also not too big on online racing. I'll race with friends here and there but more often than not, i'm working on completing my career. I don't really care about competing with strangers in this regard. There's just something more satisfying about campaign mode through unlocking new maps/cars/features and completing the story vs. satisfying one's ego in online competition. Speaking of maps, the maps selection in GT6 was also much more expansive. Livery editor in GT Sport is not very intuitive, logical, or substantial. It?s basically nothing more than putting makeup on the car. I enjoyed the old customizations much more (i even enjoyed the maintenance aspect) I'm still struggling to find a way to apply the TE37s that I exchanged with mileage; doesn't make sense at all. I'm really hoping GT Sport adds more features later on, hopefully as free updates (but it'll probably be through DLC if it does come in fruition). With that said, i'm really enjoying the driving and the small details in GT Sport, especially the sounds. The exhaust, engine, and transmission noises in GT Sport are an improvement and sound more natural than previous iterations. "Scapes", the photo mode, is also very nicely executed here. And finally, one of the best news is the debut of Porsche in Gran Turismo. I decided to hold off on buying the GT3 this early on in the game, only to receive this as a gift car

I am the opposite, just enjoy good online racing so the game is more up my alley than it ever has been as i loathe the whole "race for 9 hours to maybe unlock a decent car' formulae.

A long time GT fan here. I have to say I am liking everything so far about Sport. Lots of very cool things about the game, lots of great content as well. Still need to check out the online racing.
Aside from the amazing graphics (4k HDR) and great engine sounds. I am finding the biggest difference to be surprisingly the realism of the driving experience and how much more realistic cars driving dynamics are compared to GT of the past. In Expert driving mode, I feel the cars is very close to reality IMO. I have a feeling you will never be able to drive the same car on the same track in Sport as you could GT6 - M4 stock with Sport Soft tires on the Nordschleife in 7:15 as an example. Maybe I am wrong, still not that far along. All around driving characteristics definitely seem more realistic! It might be too much for some who are looking for more of an Arcade experience. The other driving modes appear to be more intrusive in regards to driving aids, at least from the limit time I have messed with them. I am of course playing Sport with a wheel as well. |

When you say upgrade I assume you had a G25 or G27 previously? I purchased the Cronusmax for $60 and I am using my G27 on the PS4.

On a side note. Great to see the Audi P1 from 2016, and it is at Le Mans in the photo. Hope Le Mans is coming too. |
