Sorry to hear. Hope you get back on your feet quickly. You could take a break, but from personal experience I know it's tough to schedule travel and expenses when you don't have a job/income lined up in the near future.
The good news is that depending on your industry (if you're in accounting, you're okay) and location, the job market is about the best it's been in the past 8 years or so. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. |

I've actually applied to some pretty cool automotive jobs this morning (not sales) so I'm hoping I get a call back. Also, slight chance I may get into demolition next week. It'll get me in better shape and the pay would be decent, though I wont be able to ban until the evenings

Banned for not knowing I just woke up from an hour nap.
I logged into unemployment and it shows I would only be eligible for 3 months of unemployment insurance at $275/week which is the max amount in FL. IIRC, MASS is almost $700/week. Damn Floridians. |

Thought about this. Boot camp scares me though. I for sure can lead and be great at it. I'm not too in shape and getting yelled at and called names by other men would piss me off.

Just got a call from an interview I went last month and they want me to come in next week for a follow-up. This is the one maybe 2 miles away from me so let's see how that goes. |

Dude, inside of any organization you have to learn the politics and how to work within them. In your next gig use it to your advantage. Working with the owner's wife is the perfect chance to be stellar and have them move you up rather than out. Being the most efficient is by no means the way to move up inside of an organization (unfortunately).

1. Take some time to decompress.
2. Weigh your options and don't jump into another sinking ship. I spent two miserable years working 10-12 hours a day. At some point, I realized that they were never going to change and that I would NEVER be able to catch up or keep up. I lined up a new job, gave my notice, and quit. Commuting 3 times as far is stressful, but I love the new job and having a small ownership stake makes up for the commute and slightly lower pay. Also spending about 10 less hours per week at work, so that's great too! Some companies are horribly mismanaged. I still get banking notifications from BofA when my old employer's operating account balance drops below $100... This is a company that grossed almost $30M a year.
