and actually with regards to my comment above I'd love to know which chain gyms everybody works out in.
I go to Equinox. My gym is always clean, not a lot of grunters, in the early am absolutely nobody hits on eachother. In fact most people get there work out in quick and get out without speaking much. Lots of annoying trainers but otherwise a very pleasant environment to work out in with a lot of great "gym friends" who have been going at the same time with me for 5-10 years so we say hello and will chat quickly but never screw each others work outs up. One big caveat about Equinox: they are VERY worried about being politically correct which has caused some issues. I busted a guy videotaping with his phone in the locker room and when I grabbed the phone he had 64 minutes of running footage (long story how this all played out, it got a bit dramatic). Found out later multiple members had already complained about the dude but Equinox didn't want to offend him so never approached him or suspended him until after I dragged him down the stairs by his shirt collar. We also had a guy with open sores that would bleed on the machines and it took WEEKS to get management to do something about this guy because they were worried it was related to a certain politically sensitive illness and didn't want to start a PR war.

It actually ended with the detectives having to bring him to my office to perform a Citizen's arrest. It was hilarious my colleagues were all taking pictures and everything.

Thought of this thread at the gym this morning, there (as there always seem to be) were a couple of guys with those spandex tights on under their gym shorts.... can anybody give me a good reason to wear that while lifting indoors at a gym? If not I'm going to add that to my list of annoying things.

Jabronis that do more texting which always prolongs my workout which is mickey mouse stuff.

guys who don't give girls a break and stare at them and follow to where they are working out.

horrible form is a pet peeve.

People who have body parts that lag but walk around as if they are Phil Heath and swear they want to be Arnold

People that go to the gym for two months out of the year for summer

Gym Squids who refuse to read and educate themselves but claim they know it all.

You know who is devoted to this lifestyle or not lol.

You mean compression pants?

Are you serious?

Some of us men have bigger junk. We need the support. Not to mention, compression shorts/pants keep your leg muscles from muscle strains/fatigue.

Also, if you sweat- it's easier to dry up than normal boxer briefs or briefs.

You should be thankful some guys wear shorts ontop. We could just go with the pants only and show you some male cameltoe

I have a pair and wear them under my shorts only on leg day and days where I play basketball. Keeps your legs nice and warm without getting in the way like sweatpants. I get a bad case of shin splints when I play basketball, but the compression pants help keep my shins warm, so I rarely get the pain if I wear em.

With that said, there's a trio of dudes that come to my gym that only work out with those pants on. No shorts lol

I wear compression shorts (under my normal shorts) to keep my junk from flopping around. Don't nobody need that distraction. And I don't need all the ladies flocking to me.

New girl at the gym today. Absolutely gorgeous. Up until I see her face timing her friend in between sets. She would literally tuck the phone in her leggings, do her set, resume facetiming and posing in front of the mirror to show her friend.

Why are all the hot gym girls complete retards?

Dude, yes. There's this girl at my gym who is always there at the same time as me. Naturally, she only does lunges and squats. Being the great guy that I am, I've always refrained from looking at her - even though she makes it a point to get my attention. Last week I finally conceded and gave her a glance. Dat ass doe. But then she turned around. She looked like Grimace with a perfect ass.

And to contribute to thread topic:
Really, who are they trying to attract with that shit? Some shriveled-dick steroid user? I'm mean, that's usually the only type of person who would acknowledge their misguided efforts.

I don't get why old men feel they can walk around the locker room butt naked and try to make conversation with me? Hot chicks and yoga pants...I notice my 60 sec rest periods end up being 3 minutes because of all the scattered a$$ everywhere lol!

Steroids shrivel the balls not the dick..
