Now that the ZR-1 is out and car mags are already getting low 11's @130 mph at the drag strip with it, I just wanted to bring this thread back to life so all those "doubters" who delusionally thought the GT-R could hang with the ZR-1 in a race.
If car mags can get low 11's @ 130 with only a day or so of driving experience with the ZR-1, you KNOW owners will do high 10's with it. My predictions of high 10's to low 11's at 130 mph was well, DEAD on. GT-R doesn't stand a chance (even the ZO6 pulls on the GT-R in a straight line), as I pointed out long ago. |

The ZR1 is a special edition corvetted with CCB, remastered suspension, a 600hp+ engine with a bubble skin.
The GTR is the first, standard, steel brakes, SAE 480 hp,GTR. There will be many more improved versions if we are to base our judgement from history and one of them is called the V-spec. Lighter, more powerful, remastered suspension: V-Spec vs ZR-1, fair fight. |
