That's the worst render I've ever seen. It's not even remotely close to how the spyshot G60 looks like at all!
You're reading it wrong, but I understand how their wording confuses it. It's still based on the CLAR platform of the RWD-based models. They had ended up putting in extra fluff, saying "unlike" the i3, 1er hatch and 2 series GC. |

This is far more realistic as it is based on the actual spy photographs of the actual prototypes. So we know. No split headlights as these are specific to the GKL models.
No tall kidney Grille. The spyshots show its wider rather than taller. We see the typical drooping rear overhang introduced with the E12. The strong upper character-line reminiscent of the E60. Sculpted lower flanks, The up-kick of the rear window, The prototype camouflage indicates some form of surface sculpt behind the rear door on the c-pillar. High placed tail lights although there might be a full length light bar missing? and usual Coupe-like roof-line.

Does that mean the iX is more X7 sized compared to X5 sized?
I hate that BMW followed Audi here and called it iX (like Audi's "eTron") instead of giving some semblance of relative size by calling it iX5 or iX7.

The iX is seen as a flagship luxury model as is THE 7 and i7. THE 8 and X7. XM will probably join this category too.

Makes sense, but I still don't understand why they wouldn't call it an iX7.

The iX follows the same philosophy as the i3 and i8 investigating different and varying methods of technology, packaging and construction. I can understand why first iX allocations globally are selling out.

Give me my M550 as an everyday driver. I aspire to upgrade my 911 turbo to a GT3 for a real ride.
I wonder what functinality will be axed to maintain cost ROI. |

Share Your Thoughts at BMW USA
I have to admit that I was surprised to be called by BMW after responding to my new M550 experience. Which contructively made me miss my '19 that I traded in.
I happened to have a lengthy list of issues locked and loaded that I politley shared with the BMW rep on the other end. Although I would be naive t expect to create change the exercise of a call was something. I have owned 20 and will slam them but wouldn't be without one so it's only right to recognze this. I'm wondering how many of us blue bleeders get the call? |
