If by some really odd chance we get the G61 I am 100% a buyer. If the touring only shows up as an M5 G99, then perhaps 60% at this point. We'll see.

When we see the interior, the exterior oddness may not matter.
I am guessing it will be a baby7 on the inside. Proportions don’t look just quite right here for some panels, it would look better in metal. Too early to make a judgement on if it’s better or worse than g30/f10. Somewhat reasonable prediction ‘render’ here, not as Polarizing - again it’s a guess. Looks more handsome and proportionate. https://www.bmwblog.com/2023/02/11/2...ies-spy-video/

For me, it’s the interior that puts me off the g60
The curved lcd screen “plonked” on the dashboard without any physical buttons No gear knob So pretty much like the g20lc Flat bottomed steering wheel And no v8 of course unless you go for a M5 I will of course make my mind up when I see it in the metal. Going to the Munich motor show in September and it will undoubtedly be there Anyway that’s why I’ve just bought a g30 m550 Imho one of BMWs best looking 5 series along with the E39 |

I think it looks decent. You 5 series owners and prospective owners are actually pretty lucky considering the hideous new BMW trends recently.
At least it doesn't have the hideous new grills of the M3/4 or the monstrosity of the 7. And the front end tail lights are certainly a lot better than my car. No triangles up front or hideous tail lights. Be thankful for all of that. Although I won't ever consider one though as long as it has a cheap ipad for a screen. Will have to look at Porsche of something else that still believe a dash should be a work of art, not a cheap afterthought. |

Compared to other BMW’s that have been refreshed recently, this one looks great. I know this is a render, but I hope the actual car is close to this.

I agree with you. I’d keep it just to avoid idrive 8 and the curved screen.

This is pretty much exactly what I thought. Something about this design that seems off. I don't like the headlights at all. The grill is too tapered towards the ends. Just not really a classic BMW design.

Why is BMW moving away from the classic ‘Halo’ variations of headlights and going into Japanese import styling?

F90 m5 will definitely go down in history as one of the nicest sedans ever made, plus the last pure ICE m5, I think it’s a keeper.

Count me among those who are not feeling the horizontal slats in the grille.

I have PTSD from BMWs latest few designs to the point where I look at these renders, and the first thing that comes to my mind is, "Normal-sized grilles? Oh so nice."

You have to wonder doesn't BMW have a board that has to approve these designs also do they have focus groups to get feedback before finalizing designs? It's like Stevie Wonder is approving BMW latest designs. SMH!
