I hear "medical drama" and I cringe, but maybe HBO has a different spin on things. I'll give it a try. Last medical show that I watched/enjoyed was House, and it was basically Sherlock Holmes with a twist (House/Wilson).

Started this last night. Didn't get very far because multitasking. How is this any different than ER, House M.D., Chicago Med, Grey's Anatomy or the many other doctor dramas?

However, this one plays out each episode as one hour of their 15 hour shift in the emergency room. So it is different from a time perspective. As I mentioned above, this gives the viewer that high paced feeling. There is a lot going on with the patient churn. It feels more realistic to me in the scenes with injuries...more graphic. Like what you would expect to see in an ER. So far, the character building is good early on without the corny romance and everyone sleeping with each other aspect that some of the other shows I've watched thought was a good idea to integrate into the story lines. The dark humor of a few scenes has been refreshing too. Like I said, probably similar in a lot of ways, but with enough of a twist and change of pace to keep me watching.

We have been watching Paradise on Hulu and it’s a little weird but we like it.
Tried the Pitt and first episode was a little graphic for our taste. Might pick it up again. Might not. Also have been watching Prime Target. I think I’ve had enough of that.

My Wife and I do enjoy a good Pommy Cop drama so we've been watching The Tower and it is pretty good.
The actress who played Yara Greyjoy (Gemma Whelan) is the lead role. Three short series, recommend if you're into that sort of thing. |

Season three of Alien Resident just dropped on Netfix. Alan Tudyk (Firefly series) is hysterical.

I'm hooked on Severance right now. I slammed through the first season and first few season 2 episodes and now I have to wait a full week like the old days.

From the creators of Peaky Blinders. I was a huge fan so I hope this is just as good or better.

Only two episodes in and I’m digging it. Erin Doherty as Mary Carr is excellent!

I was lukewarm on Season 1. Episode 1 of season 2 got my attention though.
I told my wife we should wait a month or two to watch so we have all episodes. She disagreed so here we are waiting for episode 2.

I loved 1883 but for some reason never watched 1923? Maybe as season 2 gets released I'll start watching it now.
Finished Landman a couple days ago. That was a great show and BBT was perfect for the role, although I found some of the mother/daughter off shoots were kinda dumb & pointless. |

American Primeval on Netflix was a great watch. Really intense and raw so strap in.
The Detroiters and I Think you should leave with Tim Robinson on Netflix is my kind of comedy. Super ridiculous and makes me get lost in laughter.
