My toolbox has a 10mm socket problem, only with tape measures vanishing without a trace. I decided to set a trap, and wanted to get a pure metric tape measure to see if it disappeared. When I checked all of the major big-box stores' Canadian web sites, not one of them sold a pure metric tape measure! The closest that they had was a dual-measurement, which of course would be useful to someone and vanish like all of the others if I bought one.

I ultimately bought a machinist's specialty tape measure in pure metric, and no surprise it is always in my tool box when I need to measure something.....

Start measuring from 10 cm onwards instead of 0 cm.

Some phones feature digital rulers. Mine can be toggled between cm and inches (0 - 11.9 cm / 0 - 4.69 inches).
