I think my favorite still is and always will be how "the FIA is in Merc's pocket" but for some reason they made rule changes this year that pretty much targeted and punished Merc's entire aero concept and gave RBR a fighting chance to finally win.

Speaking for myself Absolutely Not!!! Yes, I've said it's the car just to poke the bear. It's the TEAM is more accurate which includes HAM. Who I've also said is one of the best ever. There are no absolutes in F1 no matter how good you are!!!

I'm a Ferrari fan so no, HAM isn't one of my favorite drivers. Plus MB is one of my least favorite brands. But, If he lost his mind and suddenly switched to Ferrari I'd become an INSTANT HAM fan.

After retirement I'd love to see him do something like "The 24 Hours of Le Mans" so I'd have a chance to pull for him.

One can highly respect his skill yet still bang on him without being a fan. Two different things

Same. If only Leclerc wasn't hampered by shit luck and Ferrari had some thing close during their winning days. LEC and SAI could be a pretty good duo - maybe not exactly WDC material but at least in the discussion of WCC for Ferrari.

But anyone who doesn't see what HAM and Mercedes are doing is either blind or straight up hating. I'm not a Mercedes fan but I understand and acknowledge the success they're having and the difficulty of it all. I don't like the Patriots and Tom Brady but what they did and what Brady is still doing is pretty much once-lifetime, likely never to be seen again.

The same reason that DAS and 100 other items which were innovated in F1. This is not unique. There is a process. If it's on the car in a race, it's been approved by the FIA. If the innovation is on the car and beyond the understanding of other teams...it probably will be used until protested.

If the protest is successful, the part will be removed. If the protest is unsuccessful, status quo resumes.

I'm guessing these are the bulges we see on either side of the engine cover.

More Mercedes innovation. They do this rather than bellyache, b1tc4 and moan or make up BS about other teams and drivers. This is why they are 7X WCC and WDC champions.

They have managed to add extensive torque mapping especially from the standing start and other low-speed situations...especially from corners. This explains the crazy acceleration from start in the wet races this season.

The Race did a deep dive into the Honda power unit earlier this season. I'll see if I can find it.

Engine modes are still locked for the ICE, the battery power is the only component that is not as defined as the ICE tuning. Is that what you're referring to in the torque mapping?

Improvements to the engine package can only be done to improve reliability and the additional bulges are likely improved cooling. Any update mid-season must be approved by the other teams and FIA. Full tech data must be provided for any change.

Power delivery for the hybrid system as I mentioned, is the only likely candidate since that is less regulated.

Imagination? No...I read it from a pretty serious F1 publication. Imagination is more your purview. Examples: Max is the best F1 driver. Mercedes has been cheating. It's the car. (Only true for Max based on data...yes, data.) I could go on and on.
