I've been 29 for 46 years. Make that 47 years this July.

That's been my experience, too, and I think in that context the old adage of 'if you want to do or experience something, there's no time like the present to get started on it' holds true. Yes, indeed, and a very unpleasant fact that can be, too. I lived off the strength of my memory at work, and today it's sometimes amazing how much it's diminished. Not general memories of the past so much, but more proper nouns. I'll ask the wife "Who was that gal who worked at such-and-such and did such-and-such with us when we lived at..." Those aren't particularly exciting interchanges in this household these days when we both go "I can't remember." Funny – my dad was 29 until he passed at 75. Must be a popular age to be.

After going for a tumble at an interstate highway rest area last Friday, I have now reached the age where my shipping and handling also needs package insurance and a lot of bubble wrap.....

Mostly hurt my pride, although the fall did draw some blood on my knee cap. It seems to have undone some of my knee damage caused by the e-bike fall last year. I did manage to walk around the tree farm in the rain the next day.
Ironically, I fell trying to do the right thing and stay off of someone else's lawn at a rest area that was being renovated. Most people were walking across the grass, but I decided to take the sidewalks and fell on some steps where the handrails were removed and replaced with temporary chains between posts.....

You know you're old when you barely do anything all day but still need a nap to continue doing barely anything.

You sneaked in a small portable, battery powered, transistor radio with horrible single ear listening bud on MLB Opening day to listen to the Cubs season opener. I remember doing that like in the 5th or 6th grade.
