I'm going to put my two cents in. I don't think it's fair to call people fake because they have fake watches. I mean if you wanna get that serious what about fake suits, fake shoes even fake hair. I think in a very professional setting wearing a fake watch may harm you but at the end of the day it's just a watch.

All fake ain't good. Maybe focus to achieve one goal after another...
First the real M, then the real RLX, to achieve all that a certain mind set is necessary. When everyting is achieved whoever you meet you are reflectinga perfect picture from yourself, wich show's your very healthy money management and wich finally open's alot of door's. Not saying money is everything but with your right mind set, an certain reached level, you automatically act different with business future partner's and these people should be your success mirror. Two hint's for the fake wearer's to get a real watch leading to the right mind set: 1.) Success is counted on the fail's you do 2.) Who step's on the brake's ( in life ) looses 3.) Be open, don't build up stupid border's be it racial, religious or political. Be water my friend Good luck to future OEM RLX wearer's! Yes you can do it, nothing is impossible and sky is the limit |

Do you realize that Rolex has almost damn near created a near perfect automatic watch movement? A movement that can almost exactly mimic that of a quartz watch? Do you have any idea what kind of feat of engineering, skill, R&D, and craftsmanship that takes? Only the amount that essentially no other watch manufacturer has been able to match. Read this, come back, and apologize. You are making yourself look really bad: http://www.hodinkee.com/blog/inside-rolex And cheers, i don't want my post to come off the wrong way, but too many uneducated generalizations are being made in this thread. Haha more generalization. Some brands have ridiculous margins (i.e. Movado, I laugh at how much they are marked up). Other high end brands (i.e. A. Lange & Sohne) are extremely highly priced but don't have that much wiggle room because they try to hold the value of their brand. Excessive markups cheapen it. That's why you see most Rollies sell for around the same price they were paid for.

I'm of the opinion that if I can't pay cash for it, I can't afford it.
I wouldn't allow myself to wear a copy simply due to the fact that I believe if I/someone truly wants something - I/they will save dollars and cents to get it. It doesn't matter if it's in 2 or 10 years time. |

Haha hvala.
Not to highjack this thread but that is 100% true - Thankful everyday I've been raised the way I have and thanks to Australia for providing the platform to make a good go of life. Now I can live in Europe and try my hand at something bigger without too much stress |

A lot of people argue about fake watches because the owner can't afford the real one... that isn't always the case. There's many people who have fake and real watches at the same time. They wear the fake when they like as a beater watch and the real one for special occasions. Otherwise it's there so they can try out a watch before buying the real one.
There really isn't much to infer about someone wearing a fake watch other that it's a fake watch. Who the hell cares?

I guess you can wear the shitty copy on occasion just so you appreciate the build quality of the real thing? Any way you look at it, it reeks of overthought and likely deep seated psychoses. |

I had a fake 300m Seamaster that was quite a nice copy that i got as a gift when a family member visited china. He got it for me because i adored the watch ( but i was 16 and couldn't afford to go to the movies let alone buy a swiss watch). But i wore it because i liked it when when i graduated college and got a job i bought myself a real one.
I still wear the rep camping or things like that. Judge me for it all you want... I wouldn't ever buy a fake watch, but since i have one i might as well use it. |
