Has anyone found and screen protectors or bumpers at the apple store?
Downside to getting it yesterday is that no one has any accessories for it.

so it looks like there is a major issue with the antennas on the outside of the phone. Apparently if you are touching both of the antennas at the same time it causes interference and you lose reception. i've tried it and i can confirm it. When you're phone has 5 bars just take your two fingers and hold the antennas at the same time. you can watch it go from 5 bars to none...as soon as you let go it goes back up to 5. There are a couple of threads about this on the apple discussions.

Wow I would hope that this is a problem realized in the production process which wasn't present during testing.

If so, that's some hardcore bull shit. Even though it's Apple, I'd still expect better from them.

Agreed. I try and view things like this as objectively as possible, but recently Apple seems to be getting lazy and releasing half-baked products. I'm gonna try this when my sister gets her 4 today.

i think apple knew about this and decided to let it go because they were going to make money on bumper sales! bumpers would eliminate this issue.

Tried it with mine just 5 minutes ago, and didn't get the drop. =/

My brother got his yesterday, and he tells me his doesn't seem to have the problem with the antennas losing signal. I'm actually considering getting one in a few months, which is saying something because I've been more than happy to use my trusty bulletproof Sony Ericsson for the past 5 years.
