Speaking of "bitterness" - the last time Germany won the title was in ITALY (Italia placed 3rd that year in 1990). So the Italians have a right to be bitter!

Italy played Germany about 5 months ago.. and italy won 4-1. So we'll see.. I am keeping my hopes up, but germany is the home crowd favorite. that can take a toll on italy.

Italy made their best match today. Ukraine got their first shot at 30m. Italy completely dominated the first half, the ball didn't even reach shevchenko. In the second half, Ukraine started much better and had a great chance to level the score. But in the next minute Italy made the second goal, after that there was little reaction from Ukraine, they still hit the crossbar once but was one isolated chance. From here on it was totally Italy game. Italy likes to play this way, they never go all out attack, especially if their winning from the 6th minute. They prefer waiting for the opponent, taking their time, controlling the match without the ball (only team that does this effectively) and then a lightning fast counter attack, a individual play and they score another one.

I like Alessandro Nesta, when he plays, Italy has the best defence. Nesta Canavarro and Buffon. Pity they are reaching 30 years old. But they have class. No need to take the legs of the attacker like Materazzi ( and i'm not refering to the last match, i'm talking about his games at Inter)

So please

Italy-Portugal in the final!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
