That's my plan, but my brokerage says that USO is blocked and not allowing investments. I'm going to give them a call.

Hi,

I have $1500 (I know it is real small) on Apple right now, got it when it was $92. Should I just change it or just ride it?

Turns out USO is a futures based ETF and my brokerage does not offer purchase of that type of ETF. I may or may not pursue with a different brokerage.

Anyone know of other ways to invest in OIL long term that are more traditional in nature? Besides the big oil companies...

Leave it and set it up as DRIP (dividend re-investment plan).

Everyday, it looks like my prediction was wrong.
Dump it. You aren't gonna make your money back.

I think he took issue with the fact that you trivialized the investment amount. It comes off as pretentious/elitist to respond to another poster by saying that $1500 is too small to even bother with.

Turmoil all over the place in financial data the world over, oil dumping, high yield credit funds liquidating, manufacturing numbers show we're probably already in a recession......perfect time to raise rates for the first time in seven years Mr. Yellen! Hah, these central banking clowns don't have a CLUE.

For my 401k, I put everything into fix income for now (did this three weeks ago). Slowly allocate back to stock funds as it goes down...then max my contributions when the market is at its low/lowest

For LT/ST, Im waiting for NFLX to go under $100.

Missed out on a day trade on UWTI today when it was below $180...could of make $10k in few hours, oh well could of, should of!!!

I'd love to hear your logic behind putting everything into fixed income.
